Maybe you should also look at your back window BEFORE getting in.. if you see a paper on the window - walk past your car.. becuase the jacker is probably near by.. pretend its not your car.. walk to the other end of the parking lot - use a cell phone to call the cops...

That doesn't even make sense. Option 1: get purse, keys and car as person approaches their parked car. Option 2: leave fingerprints on scotch tape, allow person to get into their car and start to drive away, hope that they stop close enough by for you to run up and get them, hope not to attract attention while you chase down car, hope you can get in car faster than owner. Stupid.
