I personally really like making green tea martinis with Zen (called a Zentini). You can definitely taste the green tea.

Tea Wine Recipe for one gallon
5 tbs instant tea
1/2 pint white grape concentrate
7 pints water
2 1/2 lbs sugar
1 tsp acid blend
1 tsp yeast nutrient
1 campden tablet crushed
1 packet wine yeast

Measure out flavor and sugar into primary fermentor (open bucket). Pour hot water in and stir to disolve. Stir in all other ingredients except the wine yeast. Cover primary with plasitc. Next day add yeast. Stir daily.after four days syphon into glass jug and apply airlock. or a plastic bag with a rubber band around neck firmly. in about three weeks syphon off sediment into clean jug reattach air lock. syphon again in two months it should be ready

They actually make a green tea alcoholic drink already bottled now....It is made by the same people who make Smirnoff, and is in a bottle similar to that one.
We purchased it at Walmart, and it was very good!
No carbonation, and awesome flavor,
check it out!

In order to make alcohol you need sugar and yeast to be present. Tea has neither. You'd be better off adding tea to vodka or everclear if your really want tea flavored alcoholic beverage.

there's a drink called kombucha. it is fermented tea drink, tastes like apple juice. the alcohol content is low, but i guess you can increase it by doing the fermentation anaerobically (in a closed container)..
