Laugh! My "quiet" place is actually the loudest place. It's when I'm flying in the helicopter, watching the sun rise up over the ocean. It's so peaceful up there, and so beautiful...and everyone is sleeping, just the perfect place to just talk with the King.

And my second favorite place is when I climb up to the top of the derrick, a hundred and twenty feet above the rig floor, and another 80 feet to the water, just being held back by the belly board. So much time in between latching up stands, another perfect place to keep talking to the King.

Am looking forward to once more steppingout the door of the airplane. All that time, just hanging under the canopy... another place I feel so close to God.

My quiet place is anywhere, anyplace that I want to pray and talk to God whether it's when I'm doing laundry and thanking god for my families dirty clothes or enjoying a beautiful sunset and praising God for it!
A very quiet place is when I'm alone at home and can sit and listen to nothing, just focusing on God, pray and read a devotion or my bible and listen for the Spirit of God to talk to my heart. That to me is just a glimpse of heaven on earth....fellowship with God whether quiet or during everyday lifes activities.

A lot of times sweet sister its either one of two places. On my bed before everyone wakes up or when everyone is asleep. And in the shower where i can just turn my whole heart to the Lord. Many a cleansing has taken place in that shower as I pour out my whole heart to Him. Tears mix in with the warm water as I experience both the inward washing of the Lord's blood and the outer washing of my person.
We all need that quiet place with the Lord ... to just talk to Him.. tell Him that we love Him and care for what is on His heart. That we deeply enjoy His company and want to be ready for His precious return.

May we fight for this time with Him each day and not let it be stolen by " other things" that come up. He needs this time with us as much as we need it with Him.

Beautiful question

My quiet place with the gods is anywhere that I take time to reflect on spirit. I also did a lot of soul-searching in my car on numerous road trips. It's how I came to grips with the ugliness inside me and made the decision to be a better person.

Car is a good place, but kind of distracting.

Sunrise on sofa in living room - especially Sat and Sun when
I have more time to pray and read the Word - that's my
favorite time of the week!

Sometimes my cats try to distract me by purring
and sitting in my lap, so I am training them by giving
them some attention for a while, then not letting them sit on my lap while I pray and read the Word.

When I sing praise songs in the morning, one of my
cats enjoys it and always tries to sit in my lap.
I let her do that sometimes, but not while I am praying or
reading - it's too distracting.

I like my purring cat's, though.
Animals are sensitive to spiritual things for sure!

Many times in my bedroom. A lot of times God will wake me up and have me pray. I usually do these "special" prayers between 4 and 5 AM. I am working on a prayer closet.

I agree that the car is a great place to be alone with God. I will do that soon.

On a daily basis, the shower is also a great place. I find it almost poetic as I am only in my birthday suit, and what I say to Him and what I sing to Him are between only us. I love to be alone with Him.

Wherever I can find a moment just to be alone with God. In my car, my kitchen, someplace I can quietly speak from my heart-wherever I am, I know He hears me.
I used to use our spare room as my "prayer room", I would go in there to pray and read the Bible. Then God blessed me with my heart's desire, another baby, and we lost our spare room. After that, I simply found quiet moments to pray, usually with my coffee cup, my Bible, and the cat.
Just thinking of those moments spent in prayer, brings a smile and joy to my heart.
God bless.

Externally: The corner of my bedroom at my desk. With all the lights off and a candle going and the light coming through my variagated curtains, it's very peaceful and cool.

Internally: That overlap between my mind and my heart when I quiet both of them.

Whenever I am home alone. I like Friday evenings. I experience the peace, presence and power of God in my time of study, prayer and meditation.

Thanks for asking.
