Yep sometimes they look at you like you said a dirty word when you ask for another bag. I was on one flight where the flight attendant said that there were only enough for one per pax. Other times its been that they dumped the box on my seat tray. One flight they were giving our ice cream treats and they were more than happy to give me a second one as they were melting fast. I guess it all depends on the airline and pax load of the plane.

Her problem was that she was probably untrained in etiquette, like most US "Dinner ladies" on a flight.
Flight attendants, or whatever they are called this week should be a lady or a gentleman, attractive, definately not fat nor ugly. Fully trained in all the emergency procedures in addition to food serving and general manners. However, because of the PC brigade, anybody that can pass the exams gets in, and thus you end up being looked after by a rude ugly minger that doesn't care if you have a nice flight or not.
And, as the airline business gets even more competitive, the standards will get even lower.

Well, depending on the airline, seconds aren't available !! HER specific "problem" is indeterminate because you don't mention how YOU asked her, When in the flight you asked her, what Airline, etc. She might be a grumpy old gal, or she might have just been having a BAD day.

In 1990-1998, I used to fly Southwest almost weekly 'tween San Diego and San Jose, and those were some of the BEST crews I EVER flew with !! (Please note, that that crew got up at 0400am, flew from Dallas to Phoenix to Salt Lake to Vegas to San Diego to San Jose... a LONG DAY).

They'd get the pax (passengers) involved in sing-alongs, we'd help pass out peanuts and sodas... it was a BLAST.

YES, 9/11 changed things. But also, PAX are surlier, more often drunk, and ruder as well. After I left the Navy in 1999, I flew FOR Southwest for 9 months before getting the job I was looking for in telecommunications. It took ALOT of patience to deal with SOME of those passengers.

BTW... they're no longer "stews"... we're Flight Attendents.

The behaviour is unbecoming of a flight attendant.
She should not have shown her emotions in such a situation, which is a right of any passenger; and this surely merits a complaint from you to the airline.

Airline hospitality standards have gone down drastically over the past few years. The younger cabin crew seem more enthusiastic and keen to make their passengers happy, perhaps to avoid any complaints in their budding years. The stewardess who served you acted in this silly manner because maybe she had been unduly pestered by other passengers. Or she is serving her final time prior to retirement and could not care less.

All the same, you must bring this to the notice of the management so that in future no dissatisfied passenger feels upset and also causes to bring a bad name for the airline.

Maybe she owns stock in the airline, and your greedy request for an extra bag of peanuts is going to cost her a loss in her monthly dividend check...

Or it could be YOUR attitude. They don't like being called "stew"

Bruce is an idiot. The food is not free. We pay for the flight.

Customer service, on occasion, sux on planes. However, I have also had good expoeriences. depends on the stew...

Email the company. Give them flight number, etc. A complaint will go in the personnel file of the entire crew.

Welcome to flying in the modern age. It is no longer the friendly skies. I fly for business 15 to 20 weeks a year and have seen the whole industry take a severe downturn since 9/11/01. Don't talk to them about on time departures, snacks or god forbid, why your sitting on the tarmac waiting to get off....you are their hostage when they close the door......

I just keep wondering why so many of your questions are bashing airlines and flight attendants.

Get a life or stop flying.

Typical modern day attitude. Pay the lowest fares expect the best service. If you want a dinner go to first class. It's your call. But you get what you paid.
