he was great because he had a way of speaking that convinced many people. plus, he was a great dictator (not the good great, just great). i imagine it is very hard to find that many supporters, search out all the jews/gypseies/bisexuals/gays/other races etc., set up camps, and kill so many people all at once. he had a very twisted mind, judging by the incenerators, gas chambers, hangings in front of the rest of the jews at the camps, firing walls, and various others awful ways of being killed. of course he probably gained so many supporters because of his powerful speaches. i believe many of the jews were very brave because even though some knew their fate, they spoke up and admitted to being jewish. they were very dedicated to their religion and that takes guts. but in my opinion hitler was a horrible man as far as killings went. the nazis killed babies and children right off the bat because they were useless in their factories. a book called night that i read said that babies were thrown in the air and shot like skeets. it is just horrible for lack of a better word. there isn't a word powerful enough to describe how bad it was. it irritates me that people think that all germans are hitler supporters or neo-nazis, because i for one am german and i am not racist or predudiced to any lifestyle, no matter how different it is from mine. but to sum it all up: hitler was a horrible person.

I am quite astonished by the spite shown by some of the answers to this 'question'.

Triq33 - to come into this forum and simply repeat that old anti semitic rubbish, do grow up! If Jews 'controlled the world' as you assert, then trust me, we would not have a situation where in the UK, for instance, Jews must have a police escort to go to synagogue in some towns, because the aggression against them is at an all time high.

As for some of the other comments... Jews were not the 'main inhabitants' of Germany. Nor were they 'rich merchants' while the Germans were poor. Jeeeeez - have you people never studied any history at all???

The German Jews were the most assimilated, integrated Jews in the world; they married out and were very happy in Germany, which was regarded in general as a refined, cultured and sophisticated nation. Thus it was a terrible shock that the Germans turned on the Jews in the way they did. The only explanation was that Hitler was good at spreading his own peculiar brand of madness, and also that there was a lot of latent anti semitism.

The Nazis also murdered many non Jews, including gypsies and disabled people - in short, anyone who they deemed to be less than 'pure' Aryan.

The information is available on the internet, if you have enough knowledge to attribute "greatness" to a man, you should be already able to answer your question. Otherwise you'll still remain as a wannabe Nazi kid who intends to annoy people by asking such an insensible question on the Israel section.

You guys should just stop it, the Holocaust is not just some fairy tale. People lost loved ones, you can't understand what that means until someone precious to you passes away. Little keyboard Nazis...

p.s.

I am not Jewish nor I am a Jew friendly person since I've never known a single Jew -in fact I'm Turkish- but that doesn't mean I am to tolerate any kind of racism.

addition: If you really liked Hitler you'd find other events to refer to him, but ignorant people only know him from Hollywood movies. "Evil genius" you kids regard him like sort of a charismatic villian in a movie. Amusing.

Hitler was a dynamic leader, a good leader which is not to say that he was a good man but his people did follow him, and a highly effective speaker.
He knew how to 'work' an audience which is a trait of a good showman or a politician.

Do not forget the atrocities that Hitler committed or ordered to be committed. The six million Jews of the 'holocause' are only a part of his genocidal activities.
He also murdered several million people of other 'races' in his quest for the 'purification humankind' (he believed that only the Aryans were pure humans and all others were less than human)
All in all, the world is much better off without him.

There are others who are or were just as bad.

If you mean he was charismatic, a skilled tactician, and successful at rallying support then I guess you could say he was an effective leader.

But to quote Yoda (slightly modified), 'Leading does not make one great'. (just look at the idiot leader of the United States).

If he had succeded in wiping out the jews, he probably would have turned next to exterminating trolls like yourself.

Hitler was a great public speaker and the people of Germany loved him. Hitler's main problem was that he was racist. I don't think Hitler discriminated against Jews alone - I think Hitler also did not like people of many other origins. It just happened to be that Jewish people were in Germany.

Take the KKK, for instance, they dont like African Americans but they also dont like people from the Middle East, American Indians, Europe - and a lot of them do not like Women either.

I think it's easier to focus all of your hate on one nationality if they are the main inhabitants of your country.

Dont get me wrong - I did not like this man, and am quite happy that he has been extinguished from this planet. He was useless and we are better off without people like him.

Hitler was bad about killing people, 12 million. Nothing like Mao or Stalin.

Bless all Jews, now and forever more, amen.

there is not any logical answer to your question, as prejudice isn't logical. Hate and prejudice at the instant are not something novel. with the aid of this, the question might nicely be asked, "Why does *all of us* hate any team of people?" Perceived alterations between the "ingroup" and the "outgroup" are the stuff of wars--many times with one team vying to exterminate/triumph over the different. usually talking, anti-Semitism began with the founding of Judaism. besides the fact that, it became greater universal throughout the time of the Crusades. with the aid of this anti-Judaic legacy, prejudice against Jews unfold throughout the time of Europe (and the places Europeans colonized). "Jews" have been seen via some Germans to be the clarification Germany lost the large conflict. throughout the time of the large melancholy, "Jews" have been seen because of the fact the clarification non-Jewish Germans ought to no longer discover artwork or did no longer have funds. This comparable mentality might nicely be seen in different eu international locations in this time. to those anti-Semitic Germans (and others throughout the time of Europe and the U.S.), "Jews" greater wholesome a particular stereotype. of direction, that's absurd because of the fact Judaism is a faith, meaning actually *all of us* could be a Jew (there are not any actual features that define a "Jew"). Like I reported earlier, although, prejudice isn't logical. There must be any form of explanation why Hitler hated Jews. between the arguments of the Brown Cult (a Nazi perversion of Christianity wherein Hitler replaced into seen a messiah) replaced into that, as Jews supposedly killed Yeshua, it replaced into "justified" to kill Jews. besides the fact that, this does not propose that Hitler himself believed this--tremendously considering he replaced into no longer the founding father of the Cult. there is not any thank you to be attentive to what Hitler particularly believed. you may no longer even truly pass via "Mein Kampf", because it is content cloth is very suspect and provides no authentic perception into Hitler's suggestions (purely his wide-unfold ideology). Any theories on what he particularly believed is organic hypothesis. It additionally should be reported that Hitler (and Nazism generally) did no longer purely hate Jews. Any team that replaced into seen "impure" or "non-Aryan" have been skill sufferers of the third Reich.

When you use your skills for the worst, it doesn't matter how good a leader one is, if you have nothing good to show at the end. Hitler used is leadership skills horribly, he only had shame to show at the end.

Can you imagine if he had done differently and used all that power and skills for good?

But, oh no, mister sicko had to go and kill 6 million innocent people. I don't see the greatness in that.
