Is it possible to play movies and songs you bought off of Itunes on a PS3?

You can't play movies or songs bought off of Itunes because they are file protected. However, I think that the new song downloads that are $1.39 will work on the PS3 because they aren't file protected. I've already tried to play some music that I've bought from Itunes on my PS3 and it wont work but I wish it did though.
