If you aren't able to be there physically to propose, you need to wait until you will be. You can start giving hints that you are trying to push the relationship that way on the phone. Imagine (on the phone together) what it will be like growing old together, how many kids you want, and all that good stuff. But keep things as a fantasy that you'd like to make into reality. The only way you should propose over the phone is if she pins you into it (she's tired of hearing about the future and wants to know why you haven't asked yet) and you can give the excuse that you felt you must propose in person, and were still arranging how to go to see her so you can ask. Even after that, you still have to propose in person--you can't just mail her a ring!

I don't think she's going to be impressed at all by a proposal over the phone. That's something you have to do face to face. If you can't even face her, why would she accept your proposal? Come on Romeo...go see the gal, get down on one knee and let her know how you feel. All us other guys had to do it this way so grow a pair and get down on that knee.

If you are proposing a crush for this girl , you should just call her up, ask her if she's busy.. if not just ask her how her day is going and make small pleasant chat with her.
Take the opportunity to compliment her as much as you can. Maybe you could ask her to go hang out sometime with you, like go get a coke or an ice cream.. (drink if your over 21),Then you won't have to confess your crush, she'l just know.

If you aren't brave enough to do that face to face then really you shouldn't be doing it at all until you find someone you would take that risk with.
Asking someone to marry you over the phone is what losers and children do.

Exactly why can't you do it face to face? If you're just nervous, than you need to get over it. If distance is the issue, why not send her a video tape of you asking her?

can you physically not propose face-to-face, like, you can't get to where she is; or are you just too nervous? b/c if it's the latter, I think that it would be pretty lame to propose on the phone...

Well really think about why you love her and what it is that you like/enjoy about being with her. This will give you all the info you need to tell her how you really feel. Just show her your heart and all will be well.

dont do it over the phone its not a good idea maybe take her out for something to eat and put the ring in her glass or something i dont thik that over the pohne is a good idea at all or maybe flowers and a note with the ring ect good luck with that :)
