You've seen these things. Don't lie to me . . .

I find this one particularly laughable and ignorant (but funny as hell!):

Sheesh, why would I be selling a product? It's called HUMOR. No money involved. Ajahn is blocked for being a "reporter troll"

The one that had me truly LOL was "The Death Cookie", the one that says that the "IHS" sometimes embossed on the Host stands for "Isis, Horus and Seb", the Egyptian gods.

The ignorance of this statement was so profound...it is truly laughable!!

OMG I love most of those movies! Especially Bridget Jones Diary, Mean Girls, Miss Congeniality, Clueless, and Breakfast and Tiffany's! I love Legally Blond and Twilight too!

I've always found these hilarious. I played a lot of D&D when I was doing my degree- and someone from the "Campus Crusade for Christ" kept dropping of the "Dark Dungeons" tract in huge piles in our club room! They would have been horrified to know that we found them very useful- as places to keep notes when we played :D

Well, I don't have a "favorite" chick tract, but here is one of my fave websites, this website that has "anti-tracts". These parody Chick tracts. Scroll down about 1/2 way down the screen to find the anti-tracts.

It seems these have been around forever. Some are good in that they make the points (remember, they are geared for younger people) but some are a little off-the-wall for my taste.
Anyway, thanks. I wondered about these and hadn't even thought of looking for them on the computer.

They're often used with such hate, I find it hard to laugh at them. I envy your ability to gain the emotional distance from them.

I've seen them around for 35 years or longer, and Big Daddy has been the one most prominently handed out in science classes, etc. Its intellectual dishonesty is gargantuan.

The Dungeons and Dragons one. He thinks the magic actually works!

I have played D&D. The player says "I cast a ___ spell". They don't actually *do* anything.

Yeah, I'll put my vote in for Holy Joe!

Or any of the ones dealing with Hallowe'en.

Oh, mine's gotta be "Holy Joe." Hilarious! After his barracks mates shower him with shoes as he prays -- poor Joe! -- he returns them spit-shined to each soldier that pelted him. Watta guy! And then, seeing his shoes shined with Holy Joe's own teardrops, the Sgt cusses at him for shining them! Omagawd. That Chick guy should be writing soap operas.

I collected these for a while-

I think my favorite was "Little Shoes" where an hispanic dude has a gambling and drinking problem... can't buy shoes for his kids because he gambles and drinks his money away... the death of his poor child causes him to find the L-RD!!!!

sorry... the dash was too tempting...
