She said she believes you go to hell if you dont accept jesus as god and let him into her heart? She says if you have never heard of jesus then you will still go to heaven and if you are a child. but when does the Child thing end. I believe everyone goes to heaven (unless they have done horrible things) I think that is kind of cruel of god to just put people in hell. I really dont think that makes any sense.

Here to serve: That is not answering my question. I am not going to join a religion that thinks you are going to hell if you don accept him into your heart i doubt god would be that cruel. I have found the truth already. Judge me all you want.

Don't mean to be nasty, but that's the same hate speach I coped when my Grandmother died.

Regardless of all the good she did (& she earn an OAM for her charity work) Fundy Bigots insisted she was in hell.

Not saying your Cousin is, just that I've heard that retoric hate mongering from Fundementalist Zealots.

Sorry

Jesus Christ died for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD, not just a small percentage. I also do not believe in a literal burning eternal hell. I do believe the cross is the cause of the forgiveness that all receive from God, which is what allows us to go to heaven. No one goes to heaven by being good. As Christ said, "no one is good except God". We are all sinners of different degrees.

When Adam sinned all mankind became separated from God. The only way that anyone can be reunited with God is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that person will have the Holy Spirit living in him. No one can go to heaven without being united with God and becoming His child. A child who have not attained the age of reason God will not imput sin on him and he is accepted into heaven as God will unite Himself to him.

I think it's all ridiculous. God wouldn't have given us free will if she didn't intend us to use it or to use our minds. I don't have some 2000+ year old book to cite here, but in my personal opinion, each person is judge based on the way they lead their lives. How many "good" Christians do we all know that lead terrible lives but claim to have accepted and "come to Christ"? And how many people do we know of other faiths that lead good lives, do good things, and promote peace on this Earth? So you mean to tell me that your god would accept a murdering Christian but would damn a good Jew, Muslim or Buddhist just because they didn't sign up to join the club?! That's B.S. and if that's the way YOUR god works, I want no part, thank you very much!

But hey, that's just my opinion and seeing as none of really know for sure what God wants, I say we lead our lives the best way we know how and leave the important decisions (like salvation and damnation) to Her.

She must be a young Christian, not too educated yet. She has some of the truth, but hasn't been able to convey it very well.
The thing to do is to find out for yourself. The source of information is the Bible, so read the Bible FOR YOURSELF and make up YOUR OWN MIND FOR YOURSELF.
Ask questions of someone that really knows their Bible if you get stuck on something.
Put another way, do original research. See if what you've heard is real or not.

I see by your additional details, that you have proven that there is NO such thing as a "normal" Christian.
Christians believe, that come judgement day, if you still refuse to accept Jesus as your savior.....you will, indeed, go to hell. It must be your final profession, so there can be NO mind changing.
She's entitled to believe that, because that's how she was raised. Even YOUR views are not correct, in Christian OR Catholic terms. But, that's a whole other question on Yahoo Answers, huh?

That is wrong...if a person has never heard of God, never had the chance to accept Jesus, they are judged by the goodness of their heart....I don't remember where that is in the Bible....

There is nothing biblical about letting a child into heaven. If you don't accept Jesus, whether you were killed at two, or aborted in the womb, you go to hell. If you are a starving African child who has never heard of Jesus, you go to hell.

Sorry, but that's the Christian doctrine. Everything else is merely made up by the church.

So ;just how bad do you haft to be? can you lie? maybe steal? how about cheating on your spouse? What do you consider horrible things. The captain of the titanic by being in a hurry, caused over a 1000 people to die, is that bad enough? Unless you live by the standard that Jesus set, then you go off in all direction.

That depends entirely on who you ask and what denomination they are from. Some believe you are saved by works, some believe you must accept Jesus, others believe everyone is saved no matter what.
