If school is that bad for you, check into achieving your diploma through a GED as soon as possible. Talk with your counselor first; they can give great advice. Tell him/her what you are having problems with and see if they can help you out. Surely you know a few dropouts. Do you think their lives are ok? Nearly every dropout I've known through the years regretted it and several went after their GED when they saw they had nothing but dead-ends in their lives. Good luck! And make sure you pray about this, too, and ask God for guidance.

you have to have a parent sign for you to do it.
think this through before you drop out. if you quit school now and try to get a job you are going to make at most $10.00/hr for very hard labor. this wont be enough to rent an apartment and buy a new car.
if you really hate school so bad, why not check into home school? my stepdaughter quit high school when she was in 10th grade and did home school along with college courses. at 18 she only needed 2 classes to complete her sophomore year of college, and she is at one of the best state universities in our state.

In many cases you can, but then you are required to work at minimum wage jobs for a good portion of your life. You will be stuck in a deeper hole than school, with little hope of escaping.
High School can be terribly tough, but don't let other kids ruin your life by forcing you out of school. Suck in your gut, ignore the bastards, and learn your heart out. Then not too soon in the future, you will have a better job, or own a business and be able to look at them and laugh.
You can never make things better by running away, the best revenge or victory is by taking abuse or depression and shoving it back in peoples faces with success.
I believe in you, you have it in you.

I dropped out when I was 16, but my mom had to "withdraw" me from my high school before I could enter into the local college's GED program. DON'T drop out without a plan to earn your GED/HS Equivalency.

In my state the answer is yes, with the consent of the parents. But for the sake of God, I encourage you to stay in, as getting out will follow you your whole life, and even to the grave.

Yes, but it is a bad idea. If you are really hating it this year have you considered finishing at a junior college. Many of them have high school programs. At the least you need that diploma.

R&S participation suggests a lot do drop out.
I don't know whether they needed their parents to sign.
