"Again (what is this, the 1000th time?), they did not kill for atheism, they killed for their warped political and ideological agenda."
which they never would have had if it weren't for atheism.
and, i laugh at all the people who like to say hitler was a catholic. just cause he was raised catholic doesn't mean he believes it. he said in his diary that he was doing what he poorly interpreted and twisted as God's will. many atheists will tell you they were brought up christian. but, now, they don't believe any of it. same with hitler and stalin.
hitler made speeches in which he talked about christianity and used it as reasons for what he was doing. same with mein kempf. he knew people would read it. anything the people heard, he manipulated christian teachings in them. if you read his private conversations, he hates christianity and jews. check out the website. he claimed what he was doing was for christianity/god, but he really was trying to move forward his agenda by twisting religion.
basically, if the people were going to hear it, he would use chrsitianity. his true beliefs were only said in private conversations. his secretary recorded what he heard from hitler and published a book about it.
"Once again, my friend, atheism is not a cause that people kill or die for!"
no, but it sure provides a basis philosophy on which to justify their actions. christianity wouldn't have. think, don't hurt yourself, but, if hitler was a christian, and if stalin was a christian, do you think they would have done what they did?
many atheist arguments go like this:
1. muslims destroyed the twin towers
2. muslims are followers of islam.
3. islam is a religion
4. all religion is bad
so, let me make an argument just as unreasonable
1. stalin killed a lot of people
2. stalin was a communist
3. communism is a form of government
4. all government is bad
thats called anarchy, hmmm, using atheistic logic, i say we get rid of government completely. no? why not, thats what you reason out isn't it? of course not. then why do you use the same reasoning with religion?

Atheism may be necessary for morality, but it is by no means sufficient as is shown by the examples of Stalin and Mao who managed to kill a lot of people despite being atheists (though in fairness Stalin did have a religious upbringing which may have been the cause of his intolerance).
I should also note that Darwinism had nothing to do with Nazi crap because modern science actually refutes the eugenics that Hitler advocated (since it would lead to a reduction in genetic diversity along with the fact that many of the differences between the races Hitler thought existed don't actually exist). In fact what the Nazi belief was based on was the Bible and the biblical concept of bloodlines. Stalin also rejected Darwin's work instead promoting a crackpot named Lysenko who advocated a discredited theory that caused a lot of famine.

Once again, my friend, atheism is not a cause that people kill or die for!
The atrocities committed were heinous, no doubt about it, and many, again, no arguement there. BUT they were not committed in the name of atheism. Can't you allow that fact into your obviously intelligent brain?
Other atrocities HAVE been committed in the name of religion, the Twin Towers to name just one out of many. You CANNOT say that this was not a religious crime. Also, the London and Madrid bombings, same religion.
Hitler, as I stated in a previous answer, was brought up as a catholic but did not embrace christianity. He did, however, use the name and teachings of christianity to justify his crimes, and the majority of Germans unquestioningly carrying out his orders were christians. Therefore religion was the cause of these events.
It should be easy for you to understand.
You are an intelligent man. No normal, rational human being wants war or hate crimes, whether christian, muslim, or any belief, or even atheists. It is the irrational madmen of history, the present and probably the future that commit these atrocities.
Can't we just leave it at that?

Mao and Stalin didn't do the things that they did in the name of atheism. They did them in the names of their corrupt political ideology, and in the pursuit of power. They had replaced worship of a god with worship of the state. And Hitler was not an atheist. He was at least nominally a christian, albeit a twisted one.
A complete lack of respect for human life doesn't need a creed. Look at the excesses of the Inquisition, the Crusades, the religious wars that have been fought since the reformation of christianity and the founding of islam.
It's not about religion, or lack thereof. Religion is the excuse. Power is the reason. Anytime you give someone absolute power, they are free to butcher innocent people in the name of whatever creed they want to.

hitler was a christian, just not your sort of christian right. read mein kampf and listen to his speeches. also look up the anti-godless movement which he set up in 1933, atheists were some of his first guests in his forced labour camps.
stalin and mao, well yes they were atheists, but if you bothered to read marx you would find out that he thought that both atheism and theism were just a diversion from from the really important thing: the class struggle. atheism had little or nothing to do with the behavior of stalin and mao as atheism is just the lack of belief in gods and the supernatural, it didn't inform their actions. was dogmatic politics, egotism, paranoia and brutal stupidity that led to them opressing their opponents and designing dumb economic policies that led to the famines that killed millions. the british also killed millions in the same manner in ireland and india, except it was free market economics not communist economics which killed there.
you don't seem to get the fact that atheism is not a motivating force for most people, in fact the only person i can think of who builds an agenda on atheism is richard dawkins. many atheists are as moral as christians and there are proportionally as many evil christians as there are atheists. brutality and stupidity are gifts equally spread between all races, religions and political persuations.

God's instructions are for our solid. He gave us intercourse to cement our marriage courting (As info, a learn confirmed that Christians that get married as virgins and pray mutually many times have a divorce fee of decrease than a million%). God isn't subject to hormones, so this rule is a mute ingredient contained in relation to Jesus' theory. apart from, it wasn't unavoidably intercourse; it extremely is the human ability of procreation. All that replaced into necessary replaced right into a sperm to look interior the mind-blowing place, and as with each and every little thing else, God could have made this seem out of not something.

Unfortunately for your argument, there is no atheist "bible" commanding atheists to kill, so your argument holds no water. Yes a minority of atheists kill (in the name of communism, fascism etc (i.e. political beliefs, rather than religious views), very few, if any, kill specifically for atheism). The difference is the bible commands killing in the Old Testament. How many people in history have been killed on Gods command? If the bible is believed to be true, God killed a minimum of 2.25 million although if women and children were included it would be substantially higher than that. [see source]. Then there are the people who were killed by those acting in accordance with God's will.

Hitler in Mein Kampf clearly says that he is doing "the Lord's work" with respect to the Jews. He was a Catholic with a few occult beliefs thrown in. Trying to lump him into an atheist only shows how intellectually dishonest your position is.
Mao and Stalin were communists and that was their motivation. Atheism was a minor part of being a communist and most atheists are not communists at all.

If atheists didn't kill for atheism as "Hypnopope Rides Again" says then how can he blame Christianity for so called Christians killing when their religion expressly teaches love and peace?
Seems to me that Darwinism aggravated Hitler, Mao and Stalin's evil by providing a pseudo-scientific justification, and undermining the only philosophy that could consistently oppose it (the Judeo-Christian/biblical framework).
To see if you have a case against the Muslims you would need to examine the teachings and example of Muhammed to see if his followers are doing as he did or if they are doing the opposite to what he did and taught.
