For the past few months, I noticed that my son always went home late. I would usually wake up in the middle of the night to check on him, only to find out that he was not on his bed yet. Before I'd go to the office, I'd also go to his room to say goodbye but he would still be asleep. Since I was frequently busy, I hardly find time to talk to him. Just recently, I've learned that he is has become addicted to alcohol. My son is just 16 years old, I need to bring him to the rehab.

First of all.. he needs to go to detox. There is no rehab in the world that will take an alcoholic who has not been detoxed. Alcohol withdrawl can kill a person. Seizures and other symptoms can be life threatening. The best thing to do is catch him drunk, which should be no problem, take him to the emergency room and tell then you want him detoxed.(Make sure the hospital you bring him to has a detoix unit. for alcohol it is a 3-5 day stay. If you dont have insurance dont worry, bring him to a county hospital or if there isnt one bring him to any er. they can turn him away. Apply for medicaid for him. ) While he is in the hospital detox the social worker there will arrange for him to go to a alcohol rehab. They have several different programs, 28 days, 90 days 180 days up to 18-24 months. depending on the severity of the addiction and the willingness of the addict. You need to find out what the underlying cause of his addiction is. Substance abuse and alcholism is a symptom of a deeper problem. he needs help, does he express his addcition to you? or does he deny it? you can also try A.A. its a great program, many many ppl have gotten sober and stayed sober with AA. they have young ppls meetings as well. They have them 7 days a week. the meeting is one hour long, its free and its an anonymous program that the addict decides on his own to go. there is no formal staff. No attendance record. the courts and schools can not interfere nor get any information from AA. Im not sure what your situation is. you can email me directly and i can give you more advise. ax11779 at yahoo. good luck

you can check in the phone book. you can call your doctor or hospitals who might have a referral to some places. they have some treatment centers listed online. you can call the non emergency line for the police or stop in to ask if they have info.
if you have a local phone book... check out the blue pages/govn't pages. in delaware they have lots of public #s for that sort of thing listed
