My family has a pig roast every year and these are always a huge hit.

Crock pot beef and beans

1 pound lean ground beef
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 cans (15 ounces each) pork and beans
1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans
1 cup ketchup
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. cold water

Brown ground beef; drain well. Place ground beef in the slow cooker; add all remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 9 hours.

Are they in tomato sauce already?
If so then lots of ways really, you can add a bit or Worcestershire sauce to them or my fave is to sprinkle them with some cheese after they're cooked/heated.

If they're just the beans with no sauce then I would add them to a mince dish, kind of like chili con-carne.

However I'm not so sure I'd serve baked beans in tomato sauce to colleagues (unless they're just mates and not expecting a posh dinner - then that's fine!)

fry some bacon, drain bacon but leave in Fat, then add some red wine to degause the pan, about 3 tablespoons will do. then add some brown sugar, woreshesire sauce, some hot pepper flakes. then add the beans in and then after choping up bacon add that.,.... if you are having anything besides beef with the beans omit the red wine.

also you can add some bbq sauce of your own for added flavor.

Leave the baked beans in your cupboard

Order in a huge take-away

Bring out the baked beans later and tell your co-workers you have got them in for when your boss comes to dinner

2-3 TBS yellow or brown spicy mustard
1TBS dried chopped onions or fresh
1TSP wet packaged garlic

Heat the beans up to near serving temp, add the mustard and onions and garlic, Stir in completely and put into your serving bowl. I have let them come back down to room temp or chilled and then reheated them again later.

Good stuff.

I don't know the recipe or how to fix them, but my best friend's husband makes great baked beans. It is almost like a casserole.

It has ground beef, bacon, green peppers, and onions.
I don't know what kind of sauce, BBQ, Ketsup, brown sugar?

Yummmmm!

It depends on what you mean by kick them up a notch. Do you want them to be spicey or do you want to add some "extras" to them? I would add some chunks of pepperoni or kielbasa to them and maybe some crisipy cooked bacon as well. If you want them spicey, add some hot peppers to them or some spices. Pretty much, they are at your mercy, use your imagination and go for it.
