Can you toast rye bread?

Certainly. It is lovely and nutty flavour. I do not like it so much in the raw, but toasted it is wonderful. Enjoy your rye bread toasted.

Medium toasted. I love toasted rye with peanut butter on it. Put peanut butter on as soon as the toast comes out so the peanut butter melts into the toast. On all other toast either peanut butter or Nutella. If I do jam it is a light smear of raspberry and topped with nutella. Off subject, lightly toasted bagel spread with cream cheese so the cream cheese begins to melt a bit.

I hope so....I had dark rye bread toasted this morning for breakfast with crunchy peanut butter. You couldn't see that it was toasted but it tasted toasted ;-)
