There aren't any reasons to believe in god.
Gods were invented to explain the unexplainable... things like the sun, moon, and stars... day and night... thunder and lightening... sickness and death... and to answer the unanswerable... profound questions like "Daddy... what holds the sky up?"
For all of these questions, "God did it" has been replaced by real knowledge... and as a result, 'god' has been reduced from an all-powerful supernatural being to a 'God of the Gaps'... a cockroach-like creature that scurries from crack-to-crevice, looking for remaining patches of darkness and shadow in which to cower and hide from the glaring light of knowledge and understanding.
The fact that people continue to cling to this pitiable 'god' is pathetic, to say the least... a testament to the enduring power of gullibility, irrationality, willful ignorance, self-delusion, intellectual dishonesty, hypocrisy and drooling stupidity.

Non-believer, consider this...
The earth free-floats in space (Job 26:7), affected only by gravity
Creation is made of particles, indiscernible to our eyes (Hebrews 11:3)
The Bible specifies the perfect dimensions for a stable water vessel (Genesis 6:15). Ship builders today are well aware that the ideal dimension for ship stability is a length six times that of the width. Keep in mind, God told Noah the ideal dimensions for the ark 4,500 years ago.
When dealing with disease, clothes and body should be washed under running water (Leviticus 15:13).
Healthy dietary laws (Leviticus 11:9-12).
Hydrological cycle described (Ecclesiastes 1:7; Jeremiah 10:13; Amos 9:6).
The sun goes in a circuit (Psalm 19:6). Some scientists scoffed at this verse thinking that it taught geocentricity – the theory that the sun revolves around the earth. They insisted the sun was stationary. However, we now know that the sun is traveling through space at approximately 600,000 miles per hour. It is literally moving through space in a huge circuit – just as the Bible stated 3,000 years ago!
Air has weight (Job 28:25). It was once thought that air was weightless. Yet 4,000 years ago Job declared that God established “a weight for the wind.” In recent years, meteorologists have calculated that the average thunderstorm holds thousands of tons of rain. To carry this load, air must have mass.
Each star is unique (1 Corinthians 15:41).
Sanitation industry birthed (Deuteronomy 23:12-13).
Oceans contain springs (Job 38:16).
There are mountains on the bottom of the ocean floor (Jonah 2:5-6).
Blood is the source of life and health (Leviticus 17:11; 14).
The Bible states that God created life according to kinds (Genesis 1:24). This statement in the Bible would be conspicuous by its absence if it weren't there but somehow gets ignored because
Chicken or egg dilemma solved (Genesis 1:20-22)
Which came first, proteins or DNA (Revelation 4:11)
The first three verses of Genesis accurately express all known aspects of the creation (Genesis 1:1-3). Science expresses the universe in terms of: time, space, matter, and energy. In Genesis chapter one we read: “In the beginning (time) God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter)…Then God said, “Let there be light (energy).”
The earth is a sphere (Isaiah 40:22).
Light can be divided (Job 38:24).
Incalculable number of stars (Jeremiah 33:22). At a time when less than 5,000 stars were visible to the human eye, God stated that the stars of heaven were innumerable. Not until the 17th century did Galileo glimpse the immensity of our universe with his new telescope. .
The fact that God once flooded the earth (the Noahic Flood) would be denied (2 Peter 3:5-6).
The continents were created as one large land mass (Genesis 1:9-10).
DNA anticipated (Psalm 139:13-16). God fashions and knits us together in the womb (Job 10:8-12; 31:15) Molecular scientists using ditgital graphics equipment often depict DNA and its proteins and synthasis as a machine knitting tissue togethers.
Okay..I could go on my my wrist is cramping from typing so much....suffice to say...people used to believe alot of things even a few hundred years ago...how did these writers of the Bible with no scientific understanding just happen upon the truths. Science is simply the act of learning about a thing or a system or a law based on knowledge that has been aquired only in the last few hundred years..now we have technology that doubles our knowledge every 18 months and that cycle is winding down. The Bible said as much...
1 Tim 6
20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
21Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
Love in Christ, ~J~

A. "He . . . hangeth the earth upon nothing." Job 26:7. This scientific fact is from Job, the Bible's oldest book.
B. "He . . . sitteth upon the circle of the earth." Isaiah 40:22. The Bible said the earth is round centuries before man found out.
C. "To make the weight for the winds." Job 28:25. Long before scientists knew, God said air has weight.
D. "By Him [Jesus] all things consist." Colossians 1:17. The word "consist" here literally means "hold together" or "cohere." Many Bible translations put it "hold together." This is the answer to the nuclear physicists' worrisome question about the atom. The real mystery of the atom does not involve its benumbing mega-power, but rather, "Why doesn't the atom fly apart?" Scientific knowledge says it should, but it doesn't. Some scientists are wondering what puzzling power, completely unknown to them, is holding it together. The Bible says that mysterious power is the Creator, God Himself.
I personnally feel God's presence after repenting of my sins and believing in Jesus, read here how God changed my life,

In some cultures, gods were invented to explain natural phenomena, but the Bible is different.
Job, who lived about 3,000 B.C. knew that the Earth hung in space;
Job 26:7
7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the Earth upon nothing.
Isaiah (about 500 B.C.) knew that the Earth was round;
Isaiah 40:22
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
The author of Hebrews (60-65 A.D.) knew that the planets existed;
Hebrews 1:1-2
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
So while many other cultures were rooted in superstition, ancient Hebrews understood things that "enlightened cultures" didn't realize until much later.
Noah (about 4,000 B.C.) built an Ark whose dimensions are the most stable of any ship ever built, was capable of withstanding tsunamis of 500 feet, which could have very well been the case during the Flood.
All of this was wisdom given to them by God, long, long before science "discovered" (or should I say "confirmed") these things.

its only been in the past 20 years that man with science has decided that the universe is huge but its also finite. they used to believe that the universe had no end, that it just went on and on, i mention this because its just one example of how science keeps evolving. i dont believe that religion and science are mutially exclusive meaning that religion somehow denies scientific evidence. I believe that in the future science will actually compliment religion perfectly.

a small example to justify what i need to say: do u know the rituals followed by the jews by any chance? ok. they do not eat the meat of those animals or birds which have webbed feet. they follow this as per the instructions in their scriptures. but actually it's clinically proven that these sort of animals or birds have certain elements in them which are not adaptible to the human body. there was no one with such intense ability or the knack to crack such a complex science to derive at such a conclusion.coz as u said the technology or the science was not developed to that extent.
Now how did they get such info-through God.
Darwin gave us this long theory as to how humans evolved. before he died he realised that this was the stupidest thing that he ever did coz there was no truth absolutly what so ever in what he said. that news was hushed up.

You are assuming here. You think of it that way. You do not know what they think then.
You cannot understand religion or worst, if it is Faith in thinking or reasoning. Sorry. It contradicts each other and only leads to more misunderstanding. One will say why do you believe in God, in His own reason, and the other would say why can't you believe in God. Who can be right, for both have it's own understanding,.
So, You are only getting nothing here. No wiser or win an argument ( in a sense ) nor even satisfaction. For fun, it's OK but it only reflects your value of another human .
If what You are doing here have no benefit to someone but cause hurt to another, I think You should drive a truck.

I believe in science but I believe in God too. I don't see a contradiction. I believe that science is uncovering the mystery of the universe that God created.
Many scientific studies have been conducted showing evidentce that the soul is immortal, that life continues after death, and that humans are all connected, yet it doesn't make any news headlines.
I do not advocate blind allegiance to dogma, whether scientific or religious, but think that we should use our God-given brains to figure things out scientifically.

Historical evidence is no less valid than scientific evidence. The culture and society of today, in terms of the heart condition of human beings, is NOT superior to the culture and society when the scientific revolution started. Science has NOT brought us peace. It has brought us more sophisticated means to kill each other!

The old flat earth theory didn't get much notice in Columbus's day. The story of him selling the round earth to the Queen is a lie.
She knew as all God fearing Christians knew that the earth was round because the bible says God sits on a circle.
A round earth. They got that from their religion not their scientist.
Their compasses bore this out as truth but it was years before they'd learn about deviations in navigation.
