No... and neither does anyone else.
Christians have a totally whacky idea of what the 'soul' is supposed to be. For the Jews of biblical times... including Jesus (if he actually existed)... the 'soul' was an enveloping emanation from the godhead that resulted from the community's relationship with god. The soul as a component of a human being (Christian view) is an artifact of Greek thinking on 'dualism'... which was incorporated into Christian dogma and lore by Gentile theologians, who were ignorant of the Jewish concept of 'soul'.
So... everyone's worries about what happens to their personal 'soul' are of no consequence... it does not exist.
If Jesus had heard you talking about your 'soul', he wouldn't have had a clue what you were babbling about.

The soul is an abstract concept, created by people as an extension of their hope for an afterlife; which in turn is the response to a primitive mind's fear of death.

Depends what you mean by a sole. If you mean a non material, continual existing personality, then no - no one does. All evidence from psychology and brain research shows that there is no such thing.
However if you mean - a empathetic, non judgmental congruent way with my fellow beings then yes.

yes my husband is atheist and he is the best person in the world.my mother on the other hand is a christian and she is not a very nice person.so it has nothing to do with what you believe in.
