hi i got my staffie spayed 3 days ago and now i have to go and get her checked at the vets do you think it will be ok to walk her it is about 1 and half miles to the vets ???

They recover pretty quickly, actually. In any case, why don't you call the vat, before you leave home and ask him if it is OK?

that sounds like a far walk for a dog who just had surgery. Why risk it? Wait till after the vet clears your staffie for exercise of that duration.

Would you like to walk a three mile round trip 3 days after you got spayed?

I wouldn't. Not because of the spaying but, because of the anesthesia. It takes about a week for the lungs to get back to normal. Why put the added stress on the dog?

As long as your dog is well, with no temperature.

Take a leisurely walk and perhaps have a couple of rest stops if your dog looks tired. Exercise is the very best thing after surgery for humans and animals. Don't run with your dog but regular walking is fine.

No. You should not exercise your Staffie until 10 days after her spay. You risk opening the incision otherwise. Not only that, but she has just had her uterus and womb removed -- she is going to be sore!

ask vet you may have to carry a bit or get a stroller

it shopuld be fine the main thing is to keep her from jumping or anythign that can pull teh stitches out
