A six thousand year old earth would mean that all the dinosaurs must have all died in the great flood. And all the art from ancient societies that must have lived side by side with them.. cave paintings, Egyptian sculptures pottery poetry, man must have been grieving so much for his pet dinosaurs that he swore never to mention them again in respect for god's wish to kill them all off...

Actually, you make a very good point. I happen to believe that God created the world, but I think His time frame is completely different from ours. What is one day to Him may be 100,000 years to us. I think evolution is the process of creation and we're just looking at it from a much slower perspective.

The 6,000-year-old earth idea is probably about the time modern man (Homo sapiens) gained consciousness.

Uhhhh... 'creation science' is an oxymoron... kind of like 'military intelligence'.

"To call somebody ignorant is no insult. All of us are ignorant of most of what there is to know. I am completely ignorant of baseball, and I dare say that you are as completely ignorant of cricket. If I tell somebody who believes the world is 6,000 years old that he is ignorant, I am paying him the compliment of assuming that he is not stupid, insane or wicked." ~ Richard Dawkins, to physicist Lawrence Krauss, in Scientific American, July 2007 issue.

in case you had studied geology (which I extraordinarily doubt), you would be attentive to that there are 2 considerable branches: actual geology and historic geology. actual geology is the type they use every day and is in keeping with watching, finding out, and demonstrating. it extremely is the type they use to do their mining and such. historic geology is the attempt to comprehend the historic past of the earth and its beginning. That has no place in useful existence.

Obviously you are not asking a serious question. But as you are trying to make a point, wrap your mind around this. If all of life as we know it is no more than a complicated domino tumble - who set up the dominoes and who flicked the first one?

The 6000 year old model is impossible. Everyone knows that... if someone says otherwise then they are delirious.
