Well if it means anything...

The Battle of Armageddon was a tank war - in the Armageddon Valley - during the first Gulf War. CNN was there so it was sort of "watched by millions".

But that was 18 years ago now...

Peter II 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Oh sure. Just like how everybody said the world would end on January 1, 2000.

Or how some said it would end in 1999. Or how the Jehovah's Witnesses said it would be 1975. Or how Pat Robertson said it would end in 1982. Or how other people freaked out in the year 999.

The end of the world is inevitable, the Question you should
worry about is Will you be around to see it?
Changes happen, everybody gets a chance and the world goes round, Humans are as hard to wipe out as roaches
so we will survive even if the planet changes a lot.

We are headed for a climate cataclysm. Won't end anything, but I'm thinking it'll be worse than the dustbowls that preceded the Great Depression. We have some time, yet. Nothing we can do about it. Well played, Republicans!

It may still be more prudent to focus on global nuclear clusterf**k, but you can't do anything about that ever-present risk, either.

Our planet Earth's existence depends on many factors and one of them is the sun. The sun has already lost 1/2 of its energy and though it may seem long before it losses all yet eventually just like any star in the universe it will die and our planet won't be able to sustain life nor continue to orbit in our solar system but wander waywardly in the vast space of the universe. It's real and we better prepare for this eventuality.

Don't you worry. Someone created all things here will restore everything to a better and more perfect state. Look for Him and He will manifest Himself to you. In faith, tell Him: I trust in You! May Your will be done and this I ask You in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ and with the Holy Spirit.

Its us who will end the world. Movies, books will have nought to do with it. Science is the only thing that can save it.
There will be no intervention from a non existent entity.

Definitely.

Both from a secular and Christian point of view. With more and more nations attaining nuclear capability, all it will take is one nuclear strike to start WW III.

Pollution is rapidly overcoming the planet's ability to handle it, droughts and floods are wasting food stocks, overpopulation is increasing, straining natural resources.....

Definitely.

Well if God isn't real, we will end up blowing our selves all to hell so then it really wouldn't matter.

We are the only living beings on the Earth smart enough to know how to blow up the world and everything in it and stupid enough to do it.
