The entire Bible is a comprehensive book about Jesus...that's the sad thing that a many people don't get...
Jesus was there in the Garden, He commanded Noah, He was with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, was with Moses and wrote the 10 on Mt. Sinai, He was constantly on David's mind, was with Daniel in the Lions Den, Shadrach, Mechach and Abindigo saw Him in the Fiery furnace, Ezekiel saw Him depart the earth and then He came to all mankind that night 2000 some odd years ago and lived for 33 years among us...we knew Him as a child in the womb, an infant, a small child whose life was in danger and was given gifts, and then as a 12 year with wisdom beyond His years and then as a grown man who was God among us before He gave His life so we could be free. 4 Gospels aren't enough for you? Yet, even they say..that there are not enough books that could hold all the things that were done by Jesus. Love in Christ, ~J~

18 And those who brought forth this work, or in other words, those who prepared that which was to be included in the Bible as the testament of the life of Christ, were rich men who were proud of their positions of authority in the church that had been formed among them at the time that the canon of this scripture was organized and presented to the
world as the only authority of the works and life of Christ.
19 And these leaders formed a council to represent them. And they had records which were written by the original apostles of Jesus Christ among them. But these rich leaders were prideful and knew that their own lives did not exemplify the lives of the men who had been chosen by Jesus to be his apostles.
20 And for this reason, they did not include many of the words of the apostles, nor did they give a full accounting of their works or their lives before they became apostles of the Lord.
...
22 And the purpose of the Lord is to show unto the elect that he loveth them, and that he is their brother, and that he is very much like them in every way, even that he laugheth and he crieth, and he feeleth pain and sorrow. And he would that we should know that he was like unto all of us during the days of his probation, but that he lived below all men that he might be a means whereby others might be lifted up because of him; he being an example of one who is abased who shall be exalted.
In Revelation 11:5, John is referring to those who misinterpret (“hurt them”) the Holy Scriptures either by mistranslating them or presenting them in a way that they were not intended to be presented. The editors of the New Testament, for example, transformed the canon of scripture into what they felt best served their interests and agendas at the time. They edited, transposed, added to, and deleted any part that did not fit their perception of the doctrine of Christ, which at the time they began to organize the New Testament, was far from what Christ intended. John knew this, and wrote Revelation in such a way that they would not understand his words. He includes these religious leaders in his figurative expression of the “locusts” (see commentary on Revelation 9:3–10). These, as well as all modern-day religious leaders, never had a clue that he was referring to them.
These answers are taken from 2 books that have changed my life:
The Sealed Portion, The Final Testament of Jesus Christ and
666, The Mark of America, Seat of the Beast
The Sealed Portion teaches the truth about the life of Christ--his family, his mother, his apostles, his life. It is as comprehensive as it gets, and is the truth.
Both books can be downloaded for free from the web:

They are called the Lost Gospels which are not excepted because they counter mainstream religious beliefs. Perhaps they were written but didn't survive to the present due to decomposition or editing by those who disagreed.
The library at Alexandria was supposedly quite extensive, it was the repository for important documents. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by a natural disaster, perhaps that is when the records were lost.

There were probably several accounts of jesus life that were rejected when the bible was put together. These writings would have shown that jesus was an ordinary man and there was nothing divine about him. They probably included his wife and children since he was a jew and it was unusual for jews at that time to not get married and have children. But the christian church wanted to show him as divine, the son of god, so they left this out.

there are many accounts about Jesus's life. there all in a vault under the Vatican. the people that wrote the bible and the testaments decided what to put in them. its all there but the church dont want others to read it, maybe Jesus might not seem so holy if people find out that he might have made mistakes in his life.

Books do not write. Writers write and readers always want to know more. Do the research and you will find many "Lives of Jesus" have been written and enjoyed and accepted by readers over the last two thousand years. Broaden you horizons and get out there and find them.

It wasn't considered important. The bible is written in a way that just delivers 'what happened' with no unnecessary adjectives or narration tactics to make it more interesting. It just documents events good or bad. (what work of fiction does this?)

The church doesn't want you to know about the life of Jesus... in the Bible a great deal of time in his life is conveniently missing. Perhaps the part where he had a wife, children, etc....
