Emotions can certainly play a part in the aging process -- depression, anxiety, stressful situations can all throw of the body's hormone/chemical balance, putting more stress on the entire body, causing a chemical breakdown.

Also illicit drugs, medications, alcohol, smoking and overeating can all be factors -- however, some of it is just plain in the genes you inherited, so some people may age quicker due to the gene pool factor.

Laughter is a wonderful way to help slow the aging process as it causes certain hormones/chemicals to be processed in the body to make it feel better and handle stress better.

Stress does speed up aging. Emotions are partly to blame for stress related illnesses. You can actually look younger than your real age by keeping a healthy lifestyle.

I have seen people go grey headed, from stress, yes, and it does and can age you..depending on how stressful your life might be, or how traumatic you life is...I have found though, that my faith in God and Jesus, has taken the immense weight off of my shoulders...I remember a sister telling me, that I didn't have any grey hairs, pushing sixty...and it's amazing, i don't,....that is heredity, of course, but I think it is because the Lord has taken my burdens for me...God bless
