Yes, I think that religion more than faith gets in the way of being open minded.
We don't have to have the same faith to be able to agree on something to benefit the greater good.

Whatever faith we have, if it makes us strive to be a better person and to do the right thing then so be it.

Religion should not be a consideration to one's voting.
What is more important is his character, ideals, visions and morals that determine the suitability of the candidate, rather than what religion he believes in

eh... you can't tell with politicians anyway -- half of them or more are probably lying about their so called belief in god...
many are lawyers, adept at stringing along a gullible public.

It's kind of a job you get into when the thought suddenly occurs to you that you're good at manipulating people.

I would vote for a non-atheist if I agreed with his policies though, yeah

Of course. I'm a Christian, but would have no problem voting for an atheist or non-Christian if he or she were the best candidate for the job.
