Would you tell people just for the fun of it or just to spite me?

If I gave you my word that I wouldn't tell anyone, then I wouldn't tell anyone! And you could take that to the bank!!

I would only tell people if I felt I needed a second opinion - not to spite you or ridicule you, and only ONLY if your secret was in the "this needs an intervention"-category.
Friends are not friends if the talk about you behind your back and I don't suppose you would tell a complete stranger your biggest secret - if you did you sort of had it coming..

First off, I don't know you, so I'd wonder why you are telling me your deepest darkest secrets. But I would not tell anyone if you asked me not to. The only exception to that would be if you told me you murdered someone....then I'd turn you in to the police. Other than that....your secret would be safe with me.

That depends on what your darkest secret was about. If I thought someone was in danger or that you had harmed someone in the past (like if your darkest secret was that you like molesting children) I'd tell authorities. If your secret was harmless I wouldn't tell anyone at all. I wouldn't want someone to tell about my secrets, so I don't do it to others.

If someone asked me to not share their secret, I would keep their confidence. I don't understand people who blab secrets that were shared in confidence. I actually had a so-called friend in high school that I told a very private, personal, thing to. He ended up mocking me about it later and telling all of our mutual friends what I had shared with him. I was devastated. I think that was my first hardcore introduction to "the real world". Trust, in this day and age, is a VERY fleeting thing. If you have a trusted friend, cherish them. They are golden.

Neither. When my friends ask me to keep a secret I do that. And if you aren't my friend I would wonder why you are telling me but I still wouldn't say anything.

i would never tell a secret if that person did not want me to i am all about being a good friend and i no what it feals like when pepole tell secrets when u tell then not to and yeh this happened to me before it can relly hurt

I would hope your use good judgment when you share something that personal, and that you had a purpose in sharing it.
The only way I would tell, and I think anyone should tell is if you were a threat to yourself or others. Good luck

i wouldnt tell just for the fun or to spite you unless i hated you but i would say something if you killed someone or putting another person in harm or danger, or if you were harming yourself somehow i would have to tell someone to try to get help for you :)
