I DO LOVE where I live....I live next door to where I grew up. We live in the country. My Momma and Daddy both had some land out here and they gave it to my brothers and my self. When we got old enough we got to pick the place we wanted. So I picked next door to them so I could watch over them.

It was kind of lonely because our closest neighbor was about 1/4 of a mile away. The roads were dirt so it was hard to ride a bike, so I just walked. I had plenty of time to use my imagination!!! I had pets to play with and every summer my cousins would come spend many week with me and I would go there and spend time with them (but I would get too homesick and have to come home early)

I loved to play just by myself or when visitors came. I was never bored. I could find anything and use my imagination and go with it always having fun.

I love my neighborhood now because I have wonderful neighbors. Things have changed SO much, but it's still a wonderful place to raise children and settle in and retire.

Sorry this was so long...but you ask the best questions!!!!

A * for you again.......WONDERFUL QUESTION

You and I both, my friend. Did you ever see the movie Pleasantville with Toby Maguire? Other than the fact that their weren't a lot of trees in the town as opposed to where I used to live, back in the early 50's to the mid-60's was the best times of my life. However, even if I had a time machine, the only reason I would go back to that time is to convince myself to invest in all the different things that have been invented since. For the rest, life is a learning experience and I look forward to each new day.
Have a wonderful day!

Sounds nice. I've been around since the 1950's and I've never lived anywhere where the neighbors weren't strangers. I've lived in my house for twenty years and the only neighbors I know are theives that I wish I didn't know.
