Time for a basic biology lesson here ...

1) The pink thing is called a penis - when the dog is neutered the testicles are removed from the scrotum leaving the penis untouched.

2) In the same way when a female dog is speyed the uterus and ovaries are removed leaving the external genitalia untouched.

Question - If the penis was removed how would the dog be able to urinate? It is not there to gross you out - it is normal part of its body. Either deal with it or stick to goldfish.

Ok, let's use the correct terms for a start and stop being so juvenile.

Bitches are spayed, while dogs are neutered. Neutering for a dog simply involves the removal of his testes. The 'pink thing', which any normal person will refer to as a penis, remains. Afterall, a dog still has to be able to urinate, doesn't it? Don't even think about removing his penis - not only is that animal cruelty, but the dog won't be able to urinate.

I think a little maturity here really wouldn't hurt.

Simply explained: Even if your little guy gets neutered, he is still capable of having an erection (where his pink thing sticks out). The good news is~he won't get your females pregnant and you won't have to see other male lipsticks.

Cluelessone: a lipstick!! ROFL I thought I was the only one who called a male dogs penis a lipstick. Anyways yes they leave his penis. Yes male dogs can still get aroused (they will get a golf ball sized lump around their penis (depending on the size of your dog) My male rottie sticks his lipstick out all the time and gets highly aroused if you rub his stomach to much and he even humps or mounts other dogs male and female. No hes not gay hes just a pup! Yes he is neutered.

I supply my "over lively" boy a chilly water splash on the affected section. Works like a charm. warm sauce may be extremely merciless, think of how yours might experience in the experience that your spouse did that to you whilst she has a headache... And what numbskull might use an ointment that must be paid for and BURNS, whilst trouble-free chilly water will do? have not you ever watched the Seinfeld "shrinkage" episode? And any of you may TD all you opt for for, yet that remains a dumb element to do.

The pink thing, his lipstick, yes it's still there. They cut off the testicles when an animal is neutered, not the penis.

No luv, apparantly a lot of people call it that lol :)

The "pink part" is it's penis. That stays. They remove the testicles. And male pets get neutered and female pets get spayed.

First up, grow up and refer to things like an adult does, when a male dog get's the chop, the vet removes the dogs testicals, but the p***s is still there, how else is the poor dog going to go for a pee pee?

Males only lose their testicles.. Everything else is still there.. The bag will slowly disappear, but that weird pink thing remains... Get used to it..
