It depends. If the guys dad has wonderful qualities and is a great husband and father, then of course we would be attracted to you, because that means you will be a great father and husband as well. If his dads traits are not so great, and his especially abusive emotionally or physically, or even lazy, then hell no, because that means you will be just the same. So it depends if it's a good thing or not.

Yes, and guys are attracted to similar qualities as their moms. This is actually a bit less weird than it sounds. You like what you know. You grew up with mom and dad, so you lean towards people with similar values/attitudes/ideas. It doesn't mean your looking for your mom/dad twin. But this is how the cycle of abuse continues in many cases. Even though you don't want to be in abusive relationship, you're automatically attracted to people who end up being abusive. If you're lucky, you figure out what signals that and avoid it. It can be tough, though, because a lot of this has to do with our sense of smell and chemical reactions in the brain. We're a lot more complex as a species than we appear.

It depends on the kind of relationship the girl has with her dad. If she worships and adores him and is a "daddy's girl", then more likely than not, she will look for a guy that has similar qualities to her father.

My dad is very disgusting. He burps and farts in public and hardly ever showers....no joke. The last time he showered was the last time he had a doctor appointment which was about 4 months ago and he didn't even use soap! When he does shower, he's less than 10 min. I'm not joking at all. He smells so bad! He doesn't help my mom or even give her any love and affection. I want my guy to be the complete opposite!!!

I believe so. But it all depends on what the father is like. Some people have father's who are alcoholics or in bad situations and you might try to stray away from guys who are like that because you want better for yourself because you know what it is like living in a situation like that.
If your father is normal and has a great personality I believe you are attracted to men who tend to act the same way as your father.
I myself am dating someone who is just like my dad. Now I never knew my father because he passed away, but my mom almost had a heart attack when I brought my boyfriend home because he was so similiar. They have the same personality, same job, etc. So I can say that alot of girls are like this even if you didn't know your father like I didn't.

Of course, but it also depends on the type of father she has, and how he treats her. As for me, I am very attracted to guys with similar characteristics as my dad. My dad makes me feel secure, and thats what I want in a guy: To feel secure and loved.

YES, my dad is a cool, funny, interesting guy. My fiance has many of my dad's qualities. And I do make a point of it whenever I notice it.

I think women with good relationships with their fathers often do. In fact, I think I saw that posted in Yahoo! News pretty recently. In particular, it was mentioned that this pattern even goes as far as physical, as well as personality, characteristics.
