I'm thinking of taking my lip ring out, i'm kind of sick of it. Does the hole close up and how long does it take? I had my lip pierced when i was 15 and im now 17. I heard it leaves some sort of scar, can u fill me in on this?

lol. i was a pretty mature 15 year old, so they had no reason to not let me get it. And I'd thought about it for about 6 months and I still wanted it done.
I'm from Australia and it's legal to get piercings done without consent at 16 and with consent if ur under 16.
The piercer just got me to fill out a form and called my parent for confimation.

the hole will eventually close up, how quickly depends on how quickly you usually heal from wounds, since techincally that is what any piercing is. as for the scar, if you had it pierced for 2 years, there probably will be some sort of a scar. it will be as small as the piercing itself or smaller, again depending on how your body heals. you might want to get some sort of scar minimizing lotion for it, sometimes that helps a little.

my brother got his lip pierced, and then my parents made him take it out... it took maybe a month to close up completely? but seeing as you've had yours done for longer, it will probably take 3 months or so. and yeah, you might get a bit of a scar... just a small one where the hole was.

you'll be fine :-)

the hollow will probable start to close somewhat, and that's going to be painful to place it back in...you may get a retainer at shops like warm subject remember, Spencers, or the different shops that sell physique rings, and that they are commonly basically approximately 5 funds...in case you may not detect considered one of those, the only element i could propose is basically sneak off and basically save pokin it by way of each and every few hours lol solid good fortune!

It will close-the scar should only be as big as the hole was, so not very.

15? where were your parents? yes it will leave a scare? I would leave it. Small as possible and thin. But if you absolutely want it out then go for it. Its your choice obviously.
