what can i do in venice? i have only 1 day trip over there. then i have to go back to nice. tell me the suitable time and places to visit..ok thank u

I entered Nice-Venice in a train planner, and it gave 8 hours actual train journey, with connections about 12 hours. Mostly that is about the same by car. 8 hours if you drive motorways and top speed all the time, 12 if you stop for lunch and sightseeing.
Venice is known for classical art and paintings, glass work, canals and bridges and singing gondoliers.
I am sure you can find many souvenirs in many shops that sell nothing else.
Buy a guidebook, visit the tourist office when you get to town or google for Venice before you go.
