I have three burns on my body and I was wondering if my hair would ever re-grow over them. I have a minor 2nd degree burn, a 2nd degree burn and a minor 3rd degree burn. ((When I say minor I mean it's not the worst it could be but it's bad enough to be that degree.)) They are friction burns if that makes any difference. I have seen a doctor and we are treating them with water proof band aids and polysporin.(If that makes any diffrence.))

Scar tissue is never as good as the original. It lacks many of the components of normal skin tissue (specifically hair and sweat glands). In time the scar tissue is reabsorbed and normal tissue replaces it (this takes years for even the smallest scars). Depending on the size of the burn, the surrounding tissue's hair might cover it, at least in part. Otherwise it won't regrow the hair. I think a plastic surgeon could do something to help with this, but I'm not sure (not being a plastic surgeon)
