Yes, with ALL the dead: hell being the common grave of mankind. Jesus "went there" when he was executed. After 3 days God showed what He will do to all those sleeping in the grave: Jesus was raised to life! The god of justice, who IS love personified, will remember all those who have lived before and offer the worthy among them a second chance at life (Job 14: 10-15), this one without end, should they accept His teaching and obey His instruction for their own benefit. (Isa. 2: 4)

No, of course not!
I am so sorry to see you are so brainwashed. There is no hell!
This was only made up to scare people and hold them obedient to the higher stands and the church.
Many religions are on our planet, and everyone of them has their own explanation about what happens to you once you die.
Only those who worship Jachweh (Jahweh, Jehova) believe there is a hell. (That would be Jews, Christians and Muslims)
No other religions do believe that. In other religions you go into another state, like in my faith I believe I will be picked up by the wind's bride and travel with the wind around the world, until it will be time to be born another time. Other religions will have other ideas about the afterlife.
Please don't think that there is only one truth and that would be the one your church has preached to you! Please learn about the horrible crimes your church has committed to many native people who were happy with their own faith.
So many people nowadays are scared about the islamistic terrorists, but they only do what they have learned from the christians. And the christians have been more brutal by far! They have slaughtered uncounted people in the name of the new religion (christianity).
All european cultures have had religions, and they were "granted" the choice between execution or converting to the new religion of "peace and love". Many brave people went into death, because they did not want to become christians.
You must know about these things!
Please stop this brainwashing, this is so dangerous! Try to save your brains and wake up!

My opinion is no. There is no hell.
As for the babies who died but hadn't heard about Jesus yet - the Catholics used to say that they went to Limbo. But then - I think they did away with Limbo. And I guess all of those little baby souls too. I'm not really sure.
Maybe the dead people who didn't believe in Jesus as their savior are with the baby souls somewhere. Maybe they are having a tea party or something. Not really sure.
C'mon - is anybody really sure???

The bible says that reveals himself in his Word and in Creation. We are responsible for knowing that somebody created everything, according to the bible. So it is my belief that if somebody who never heard the Word of God (the bible) and doesnt know much of anything, and perhaps has no one to learn from, and has no bible and couldn't read it anyway, and doesn't know of another human; looks up into the sky and sees a sunset he is responsible for knowing that somebody made it, and if he declares that he recognizes that some One did make it and that that Person is the Supreme Being, then he has in effect believed in Jesus as Lord without ever knowing His Name. The bible tells us that he who believes will be saved from the consequences of his sins, that is from eternal punishment in hell. Hell isn't open yet. Hell was created for the devil and his angels. It can accommodate non believers, however.

They will have a chance to hear the Gospel after this life.
The following verses help us understand this doctrine...
1Peter 3:
"18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;"
then 1Peter 4:
"6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit."
(Those bring more meaning to Isa. 24:22; 42:7; and 49:9 and also, in part, Isa. 61:1)
See also John 5:25; Romans 14:9...
1Cor. 15:29 also brings new meaning...
We know Christ taught that a person must be baptized to enter into the Kingdom of God. What about those that are dead? Well...read 1Cor. 15:29, ponder about it, then pray about it.
A man CANNOT be saved in ignorance. Ignorance is not a righteous thing.
God is a fair, just and loving Father. He wl give us as much of a chance to choose the right as He can. I know that's true.

I was raised in a Baptist Church which taught me that all children, and retarded people, who have not yet reached the age of accountability, or the age at which they understand right from wrong, will go to heaven. That makes sense to me. Paul talks about people who do not know the law, yet they live in such a way that they have the law in their hearts. Jesus talks about people he invites into heaven who had no idea they had done good deeds and were going to heaven. I think the Bible suggests everyone will have a chance before the final decision is made.

Another re-tread question that can be applied to ANY religion or belief system.
In the particular case of Christianity, I believe that the Holy Spirit will touch the eternal soul and each soul will either accept or reject the love and mercy of the one true God.
If they accept, then I certainly believe that they will go to the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Catholic Church believes that those who die never hearing of Christ but have sought the truth and does the will of God as they understand it can be saved. See Romans 2:13-16. This is called the Baptism of desire. (1)
If they died before Jesus died for our sins and opened the gates of heaven for us, then they waited in what is called in the Old Testament Abraham's bosom or Sheol.
Catholics believe that after Jesus died on the cross, he descended into Sheol, the place of the dead. While there He freed the holy souls who awaited their savior in Abraham's bosom. (2)
For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church,

(2) section 632 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt2art5.htm#p1
With love in Christ.

according to Christianity, ignorance is excusable. The only ones who go to Hell are those that have heard the word, but do not accept it.

Christianity is not like other religion-Christianity has no imposing theology- As Jesus says only a sick need doctor not healthy one. So it proves Christianity do not impose its theology to everyone.
