Governments control the education content of their countries; therefore, everyone can be considered "brain washed" at least to some degree !!!

Sure the American People on a whole are being Brainwashed by Television and Media. We are led to believe that we NEED all these material trappings in order to be happy. We must feed the beast of Capitalism if we do not wish to see our Debt based Economy collapse. We are led to believe that we have only 2 real choices for who will be the President of OUR Country, that is a form of Brainwashing that ensures that only those backed by the Corporations stand a chance. Of course most anyone is open to Brainwashing given the correct circumstances.

we're all brainwashed into believing whatever our GOVERNMENT wants us to... Think about it... 200 years ago, the Government acknowledged God a whole lot more. They foresaw the dangers of a Church-State, so they made it separate... but still, God's name was printed everywhere... He was acknowledged... This made society a more God-Friendly place. Look at today... The government, along with the money provided by corporations, will disown God for next to nothing nowadays. Look at the junk on TV, every 2 seconds there is either a half naked man or woman on TV. It's not as popular to be holy these days... What's in is PARIS Hilton's life on CNN... (WOW)... Atheists like to say we Christians are the weak ones... But think about it... Are you really that much stronger?

The brainwashing, or the lack of it, involves personal choices. Brainwashing is the default. Avoiding the default requires deliberate effort, including alienation from the herd.

Anyone of any faith or lack of faith can avoid brainwashing. It just isn't the easiest route in modern life.

I think patrotism is a perfect example of brainwashing. People think their country is better based off the fact they were born there. I've worked with people who always said 'things were better back home', despite the fact they left their home country because of constant civil unrest. It's drilled into our heads from a young age that our home country is the best.

Absolutely, but I think it has more to do with what religion and culture you are born into.

For instance, tribes in remote areas of the world still run around naked. No problem for them, but we would be arrested, possibly sent to jail and deemed mentally deficient or perverted if we insisted on doing this.

It's cultural mores and traditions. Same with religion in large part.

Of coarse, there are people who study different religions to find one that is a good match for them, but most don't.

well some are brainwashed, but some actually think about it and have faith. others claim to know when they clearly dont. thats the difference, those that admit theres no proof have used their brains, those who cant admit it are brainwashed.
