I feel my spirituality on a night like this. I'm sitting outside at the patio table, tiki torches lit, stars above, feeling the cooling fall air all around me. I, too, can hear the cars on the connector but otherwise all is quiet and serene. I have no fear of the dark; I live in comfort with the outdoors and would rather be out here than anywhere else.

It's quiet here, the apartment is calm and stinky like the catbox next to my computer desk. I can hear the Patton 26 inch fan doing it's job blowing dust mites towards me on the other side of the living room. Or maybe they are fleas and mosquitos dragged in by my dog and two cats.

wow, you are quite the image maker.... beautifully expressed thought.
As for me, my mecca is in the rocky mountains of Colorado. For me there is no other place in the world that the presence of a supreme being is more evident; such majesty, and beauty; so violently formed and yet so peaceful. I feel it most in the warmer months when the snow is melted away. In general, I think twilight is a magical time of day. That in between place in time, neither day nor night. I love to sit and stare into the mountains at twilight and just be in the stillness and silence. It restores me.

I hear my neighbor fighting with her gangsta boyfriend as he man handles her 2 year old Son. Boy, as he refers to him. Another neighbor walks by who is strung out on Meth and looks terrible. Arguing with herself. I sit and listen and watch in the coolness of the night and ponder. The 3 capitive dogs that live on the patio across from my complex bark crying out for release. I am thankful my problems are mine, and I do not have theirs. If I did not have God, I would be completely lost.

I live on a 5 acre wooded lot and it is heaven on earth. It has trails, a creek and a small cave.
No neighbors, not much traffic.
Quiet and peaceful.
It is always a few degrees cooler here than in town.
I love it, won't ever move again. Well, my next move will be a cemetary.

Congrats for spelling out question so emphatically. Answer probably lies in the narration. Let me bring it out.
When your thinking, your perspective is cool, self-less and not bound by an evil, you enter the domain of spirituality.
When you do something without expecting a return, when you concentrate purely on yourself(i.e. no relations, no religions, no subjective) you get your real spirit out.
When you meditate you are having your spirit in frontof you, not inside you.

Maybe, but I think you can get closer. He has a name.
Silent contemplation isn't something done so often anymore. It sounds like a good spot. I'd take a cup of coffee with it, and maybe a cookie - soft one, not to disturb the moment.

In the wind slowly rippling the leaves of a tree, the sound of a stream flowing through the open fields or forest, but mostly... I turn inward and feel it in myself.

Your question is 'Where do you find your spirituality'
I find it inside inside of my mind. But I could not find it clear, cause it is dusty, covered with thoughts. I have to uncover it by focusing towards it.
I know everything is there. Let me finish my responsibilities first and latter may be after 60 I wish to dip myself there.
You r correct that it comes in silence.

I think you're probably correct. The more distance from that ribbon of pavement, the closer to what's real.
