My little precious angel baby, who was almost 3 at the time, was in the bathroom with me at Wal Mart (what is it about Wal Mart?!?) recently, and I had a bit of an upset stomach that day, and had to, well, you know, #2 and I HATE to go in a public restroom for that to begin with, and of course it was crowded too, and my little darling angel, after I was done and flushing, she started clapping and jumping and yelling loud enough for the people in the back of the store to hear her yell, "You did it Mommy!! You POOPED!!" All I could really do was say, No, Mommy just pee peed. I was MORTIFIED. Now that got hysterics in the ladies room. I have to start writing this stuff down, or she'll never believe me.
(is this the punishment we get as parents when we get all excited when our child(ren) go potty in the big potty?)

OMG!!! On SEVERAL occasions my kids have embarrassed me!
My son was about 3 yrs (in Wal Mart) didn't want to sit in the cart...he wanted to walk like a "big boy". So I let him, keeping a very watchful eye on him, keeping him close to me. Then he takes off like a marathon runner down the toilet paper aisle...grabs a jumbo package of Charmin off the shelf and lays on the floor using it for a pillow. Not a big deal. The other shoppers are looking @ him "oh how cute! Isn't he a sweetie!" It was pretty cute...UNTIL
I told him "get off the floor honey & put that back on the shelf"
He SCREAMS at the TOP of his lungs "Dont hit me mommy!!" and throws his arms up like he's shielding himself!!!
I have NEVER spanked this child in his life!! Not even a tap on his diaper!! NEVER even raised my voice!! NEVER EVER!!!!
The other shoppers glare @ me like I'm some horrible child abuser.
I was MORTIFIED!!!
(always seems to happen @ WalMart. LOL!)

My daughter was about 2 and half and was miss behaving in a store and when I went to get her up off the floor she fell back and said don't hit me don't hit me. I about cried and she also had a black eye due to deciding that she needed to dance on a toilet seat and fell into the vanity. I picked her up and made her apologize for throwing a fit and kept shopping. She behaved for a little while.

Similar to your story, in the domestic relations court (while attempting to get child support) my 2 yr old son looked at a fat woman and sad look at that fat woman dad...I was shocked and very upset at him...the woman was obviously embarrassed but not as much as I was as I probably spent 10 minutes apologizing for his words....seems he had spent too much time with his bio-mom that poisoned his young mind...glad I have custody (he is 15 now)....

this wasnt my child, but i was babysitting my cousin, who was 4 at the time.
we were in kohls right near the entrance by all the cart stroller things.
while i was buckling his sister in, he turned around and reached up and pulled the fire alarm.
the noise scared him so bad he wouldnt do it again. but i was so embarassed i cant go back. and i check where the fire alarms or other alarms are now when i go into a store with them.
oh and his sister puked all over me when i had a guy over that i was interested in. we still dated but it was mortifying. especially since i couldnt change my shirt and smelled like sour milk all night. ugh.

Our youngest son used to hide in the clothing racks in WAL-MART and when someone would get near he'd yell out,"PICK ME!!! PICK ME!!!"
Our oldest son goes to the changing rooms in WAL-MART and after a moment yells out, "WHY ISN'T THERE ANY TOILET PAPER IN HERE!!!"

Today in the grocery store, my two year old was "helping"... when he tried to put the container of strawberries into the bottom of the stroller, the container opened. And, since I didn't want jam in the bottom of the stroller, I crouched down beside him to close it up. But, he put his hand onto my knee and unintentionally knocked me over... so, there I was in the produce aisle... turtle, turtle, turtle...

I was out shopping with my son. At the time he was about 2 years old. He was sitting in the shopping trolley and a lady walked past with her young son in a trolley. (My son wasn't very fond of the colour black, and black to him was YUK). It just so happened that the lady and his son were "dark". My son was in the trolley saying "Look mummy, YUK boy". I walked away as quickly as possible all while my boy was yelling out "Look mummy yuk boy!" I couldnt get away fast enough!
