My question is how do these children cope with being out in the public not knowing who has eatten peanuts or peanut products. Some children in my grandchildrens' school have peanut alergies so severe even the smell of peanuts can trigger an attack. My nephews have children who are allergic to eggs so the students cannot bring egg sandwiches but products containing eggs are ok. I would hope all parents would monitor the contents of the lunches sent to school ( afterall if it were our own child we would expect the same diligence)..I guess my question how do these kids cope out in public?

I guess I wasn't very clear, what I wanted to know was how these kids handle being in crowds where they don't know if someone has peanut butter on their breath.A child in my grandson's class (about 6 years ago) was so allergic he could go into anaphalactic shock and needed an epi-pen.It seems many products may contain traces of nuts ( or wheat, or egg etc).I suppose they must carry the epi-pen.Do these kids ever get a day when the threat isn't on their mind?

To answer your final question... No, children with allergies (and their parents) never get a day when the threat is not on their minds.

You just get used to it over time. And, enjoy the safe places (like home and a controlled school) when you're there.

A girl I work with is allergic to peanuts. She just refuses eating anything that would possibly have nuts in. It is all in the upbringing.
When my brother was alive, he was allergic to eggs, not so much to something that had some egg in it though. He just knew he couldn't eat eggs, like for breakfast or something, or he would have allergic reaction causing swelling that prevented him from breathing safely.
I guess it is all in the upbringing. It is normal to just turn-down products containing your allergy trigger and be well educated on what you can and can't have. My brother did alright when he was young, right thru to his adulthood.

jointly as you could "tutor" a baby who has a nutrition hypersensitive reaction on what they could and can't consume, you won't be able to tutor them on what to no longer breathe or touch. infants with severe peanut hypersensitive reactions often have indicators purely from inhaling dirt from peanut shells, or soaking up oils by their epidermis left by a messy eater. The argument that by banning peanuts from colleges infringes on a baby's precise to consume a definite factor for lunch is absurd. there are 1000's of innovations beside peanut butter that a baby ought to consume for lunch. i think of a baby's precise to bypass to college without worry of a existence threatening hypersensitive reactions some distance outweighs the ought to consume a definite nutrition product.
