I work at a daycare. A child (18 mo.) had tubes and they fell out, I know that is normal, however, her ears are draining some of which is blood. It smells horrible. Can someone please tell me. The doctor said there's nothing to worry about...

The child is not on any kind of antibiotic

Dab her ears with a tissue [ and gloves, it is body fluid ].
The stuff that is draining out is old congested stuff they put the tubes in for in the first place.
It is normal to have a little bleeding when they fall out, and old blood smells nasty.

This is not a problem. I assume the kid is on an antibiotic (if not I'd be less sanguine). The drainage smells bad due to the ear infection.
