Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 is a free download on the adobe website..might have to do some searching but it's there!

I agree. I used Windows Movie maker to make all my films. Though its not fancy it does do a pretty good Job of things.

If you have Windows XP, then you have a passable video editor built-in:

Upgrade your video card. They almost ALWAYS come with some cool free video editing software.
The box will tell you what its got.

why don't you just pirate a professional one like ulead. its really good, unless you want to use a junk one like the windows movie maker.
