Hi guys! I'm trying to apply for a job. I have finished answering all the questions on the job applications and about to turned it in tomorrow. Here's my question.
When applying for a job, after I finished answering the job applications; should I or should I not include my resume when I turn in the job application? Why or why not? When is the best time to turn in the resume? What all should be included in the resume? Whom should I turn in the resume to?

Thank you beforehand.

I am applying for a job in a novelty store for the cashier or sales position. So, should I turned in my resume with my applications or not?

Hello, It would be helpful to know what kind of position you are applying for. If it's a "high end" position, it's always best to include a resume. If it's a "lower end" the application questions usually suffice. Check out the sources I included for you to look at. There's lots of resume sites online.

There should be a lot of resume books at the local bookstore or library with excellent examples. Professionals generally recommend Not putting hobbies or references on the actual resume though the job application itself may ask those questions. For references, they usually suggest typing at the bottom of the resume "References Available Upon Request" (without the quotations ;) Always send a cover letter along with the resume as another postee mentioned as the cv gives a brief expansion of one's resume. They also say to try to keep the resume (and cover letter) to one page.

Is the job something that would traditionally provide a resume for, like an office, professional, or management position? If so, I'd say yes, otherwise no.

There's no harm in it, especially if it includes information that you think would make them more likely to hire you that you didn't put on the application.

Oh, and good luck!
