The words of God cannot be bound, (i.e. in a book) and I have learned by personal experience that Inspiration is NOT always GodBreathed! Nor is everything I once believed, the truth. I have learned that I can be inspired by false impressions and misguided, but i believe christians are truly blind to their own traditions and false doctrines.
How can any prove that God wrote the bible? HE did not.

If they are, then they should prove to be true -- none of this "Jesus is coming in 1912" then backpeddling to say that he came invisibly or some such nonsense. When it makes specific claims they should be found to be specifically true.

You are correct to say that the Word of God cannot be bound in a book. This is very insightful and is something that Christians often miss. Nowhere in our 66-book canon is there a claim that it is the "word of God", yet many Christians falsely refer to it as such. It is definitely the case that the Bible contains the words of God, but by its own admission it contains words that are not from God and describes other words of God it does not contain.

This doesn't mean the Bible isn't a valid, truthful document that should be the guide of faith and practice to all Christians. It is not to say that it isn't true in every truth claim that it makes. In fact, it is to say that some of what people say about it, it doesn't actually claim.
