@FWB There are Islamic insurance policies but I guess for property , I am not sure about life insurance. Consider what happened to the insurance holders after Katrina hit Louisiana in US , the insurance companies went bankrupt , and some refused to pay at first. That is why no body can tell the future. I suppose life insurance is discouraged by Islamic scholars because it is always an unknown , where in Shariah law sales transactions have to be known & specific , not open to chance. But then some one might say the same thing about stock trading which some scholars allow and others tell people to avoid it. It also have the same sticking problem ; the unknown. A man came to Prophet Muhammad to ask if sickness is from God , the answer was yes it is , then the man also asked then how about medicine? the prophet said that too is from God. So the moral is that both good & bad things are both equally there by Gods' command. In other words if the purpose of an insurance policy is to remedy a problem , or avoid potential hardship , it would not be some thing forbidden. It all depends on the out come and how people use it. I personally can't imagine what would happen to drivers if no body had insurance , every one would be driving like a maniac , and when accidents happen you will have long arguments about repair costs , and then the party at fault would either not pay or is not able to pay if the cost is out of their income bracket. Life insurance is a whole other ball game , because one party is the beneficiary , while the other is the object of the insurance , unlike car which yo can repair and make operational again , there are no spare parts for human beings, and they don't re-start after they die. There have been cases of murder to benefit off life insurance policies on a spouse , yes they are rare but such cases are a sad reminder of what it could lead to when one spouse has no conscious or morals.

if i have a car insurance , something happen , i get money.
if i have health insurance , something happen , i get money.
if i have home owners insurance , something happen again , i still get some money back.

of all , because i pay money for the insurance , and if something bad happen , i get money back . theoreotically no one else is involve other than me and the company. thus it's fair since the deal is between us.

if i have insurance in god , certain god actually , if i have insurance and if it work out , while i am saved , others who doesnt have will be punish eternally.

this others could be my future children who lost faith or converted to other religion.
this others could meant my parents. this others also include millions to billions of people not exposed to or do not fully understand this religion.

and all this people are punish eternally .
is this insurance a good one ? well to you perhaps , because all your family and the one you care already had this insurance . but it doesnt apply to me as well as the others.

while it seem loving and just to you , it appear to be selfish and unloving to me. sure you can nuke me with thumbs down , i already expected it

Puddin: Simply because God helps them who help them self ! Remember; Christians are to do his or her part and God will "iron out" the differences. If you have car insurance, health insurance and homeowners insurance WITH God in your life ... you have the insurance policy of all policies !!!

The car, health and homeowners insurance we have costs us an arm & a leg every month! Insurance rates are ridiculous. There are benefits, yes, but nothing compared to the benefits of having "insurance" with God.

"Life insurance" with God cost Him the life of His Son. He paid the premium for me, and all who will accept His offer. It wasn't cheap either--it cost Him everything. And the benefits are incomparable, in this life, as well as the one to come.

I do, we are living so deep into the end of this system of things that baring an accident, I may never die ever at all, and if I do die, God will through his Son, Jesus Christ, resurrect me back to life.

I have an eternal policy in heaven.

Note to guraqt2me: "God helps those who help themselves" is not in the Bible.
God helps those who ask for help.

You do. It's called faith, forgiveness, salvation, all freely provided by Jesus. Accept the "policy" He offers. He is the only one that can insure your eternal life.
