Why aren't atheists sent to their deaths by the government? Why are natural history museums popping up all over the U.S, filling the country with their satanic lies of evolution, and dinosaurs? Why don't the churches hold any say in the government? Why does no one take the Christians seriously when they speak the word of truth, God, Christ, and Mary Poppins? I will just never understand!

No one takes the church seriously? Who is our president right now? Ask yourself who put him there. We do not hold any say in government? Then why does almost every politician claim to be a Christian? Christians are probably the most powerful group in this country.

well... i will answer your question seeing as how you answered my question about "atheists, gimme your adress...".

True Christians believe in love, which is why atheists are not condemned into death. Live and let live. Becase you hate christians dont mean they hate you back.

Secondly, the US is a nation of freedom of religion. You think that taking the bible literally, means, by definition, that things just happend and winked into existence. This is wrong, seeing as how the bible did not describe HOW things were created, it only says that they WERE created.

Finally, you are biased toward christianity by associating it with fairy tales such as mary poppins.

if you hold such assumptions and base all your questions on these assumptions, of course you will not understand!

It's a little deal called the first amendment - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; - one of the prices of freedom is putting up with that with which we might disagree.

Certainly folks have the freedom to be wrong and to ask stupid questions in Yahoo! Answers.

You were making me upset til I got to that last bit...satanic lies was a nice touch.
As for the dinosaurs...when my fiance was little he would draw dinosaurs and the elders in his parents congregation rebuked him for it, stating that dinosaurs had never existed.

EDIT: Sheesh...did no one notice the Mary Poppins bit? You riled 'em up so good they didn't read it through.... *shakes head*

well... the whole "Why aren't atheists sent to their deaths by the government?" would be with reason, if you had your facts straight.

you might be shocked to know, america is a country of free-worship and the founding fathers were 'mostly' deist.

Christian fundamentalism running the U.S.? that would be a disaster....When the taliban ran the Afghan government, they burned anything that wasn't the Quran. Think of all the evolution books that would be destroyed in the U.S. What happened to freedom of religion? oh thats gone too....freedom of speech? gone.....like i said, complete disaster

It was a Christian nation and I would like to see it return. We are not taught to kill unbelievers, we are taught to witness to them about Jesus. People don't want to listen to Christians because they feel convicted of their sins.
