I need to take two classes in order to enroll in grad school for the Fall of 2008, but money is tight since I'm between jobs. I am only taking two classes at the cost of about $3000. Is it possible to get financial aid for this fall semester?

At my school you can't get aid unless you are enrolled in a degree seeking program. Only needing 2 classes isn't enrolled in a degree seeking program. You can always get a loan, but a grant through FAFSA is probably not possible. Good luck!

Because you technically are not degree seeking you might have problems getting aid. I would enroll as an undergrad pick a degree and enroll in the classes you need to apply to grad school. Then switch to grad school the next semester.

As a last resort, you could apply for a private loan, but try the other way first.

Of course it is. But if you are planning on getting it for the 07 Fall semester it may kind of late. It would take about two months to process, and by then you would have paid everything out of pocket.

If you are planning for the 08 Fall semester, then great. As soon as possible after January 1st you need to file the FAFSA.
