Also, given the minority of atheists and majority of theists, who do you think made the greater contribution to the recent extinction of a species and it's genetic lineage (a product of evolution) -- theists or atheists?

Who is more likely to engage in habitat destruction by proclaiming a deity will fix everything later?

Because the responsibility over animals was given to man by God: Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

We didn't prevent it, it is our loss.

Atheist believers are 2/3 of Christian believers. A rather large minority, don't you think?

I am a Christian. I know there is evolution. Please hear me out.

Extinction happened as a process of the evolution God created. As some species go into extinction, others are formed. There are new breeds of dogs being recognized all the time because of evolution. I don't mean the stupid idea of "Big Bang" but the natural progress made by all living things. The AKC has recognized several new breeds of dog during the past few years which were not here before. They evolved from things that were.

Extinction is a natural part of evolution. We probably could re-create some extinct animals if we had the DNA to work with. You can't CREATE something that was already created. Atheists and theists do not make these kind of extinctions happen, people who are ignorant and uncaring of wildlife do. There are some of these birds in museums, but it's doubtful anyone would bother to clone any of them. Extinction seems cruel, but there are more animals that have gone extinct than are living now. It's up to all of us to guard against this in the future.

First Cloning is only able to be done because God gives man knowledge. Second Christians don't take Gods Blessings and gifts for granted or we are not supposed to. We are however humans until such time as we are taken from this earth to be with God. so who had the most to do with it?? My guess is HUMANS does that pretty much make sense?

genetic codes are a reality and we can decipher them.
Animal husbandry has utilised natural selection for the last 5000+ years to give us bigger stronger farm animals.
.
the scientific principles used to create specific genetic changes on farms and in test tubes, also gave us new species. but to creat a species from a genetic template even IF we had one for said DUCK we still consider it playing god to create such life.

Our science seeks to explain and cope with nature not to change it.

All humans are responsible for their individual actions. go ahead and clone the ducks if you wish. It might be difficult to prove there are more theists in the world now.

I think that continually trying to separated believers and non-believers as better or worse than the other is not worthwhile.

We are all in this together, and these arguments don't really help.

That creation junk is playing God.......That evolution junk is discrediting God. Our world is in the middle of downward spiral because of them both and the people who believe in them.
