islam and marijuana?

1. is it true in Islam that if you smoke marijuana you are impure (nigis) for 40 days and no prayer nor fasting is counted for?

if you talk to a psychic for fun and you totally know you don't believe in them is that considered haraam and your also impure for 40 days ?

Hello / Salaam.

Smoking pot does not make you impure, any more than drinking alcohol makes you impure. It does, however, affect your state of consciousness so you would not be able to pray an acceptable prayer in a state of intoxication with either pot or booze. Once the effects wore off, you would be able to pray. Smoking pot does not invalidate your greater ablution, so you wouldn't need to take a shower or anything. The only thing required is repentance from the act of smoking the pot, since it is considered and intoxicant and is not allowed according to all the Muslim scholars. Then you can pray or fast as you need to.

If you go to a psychic for fun, even not believing in it, you are not considered "impure" but your prayer would not be accepted for forty days. Now, you still have to do the prayer, even though it's not accepted, otherwise you give yourself a double whammy of not having an acceptable prayer and abandoning the prayer. Once again, you would need to sincerely repent from this action and resolve never to do it again.

Remember, Allah is ar-Rahman, so if you or someone you know is engaging in these acts, know that Allah will accept sincere repentance. And Allah knows best.

Many experts say marijuana is non addictive drug, there are no longer any physcail addictions. purely the psychological wanting of it for somebody whos completed it for al ong time, btu like if yo u think of roughly it which would be wit something. Liek examining books, if somebody takes your e book away and you pass over it, are you addicted to it. (small occasion) Marijuana may be used to non secular enhance. factor of Islam is to get close to to Allah, marijuana may be used as a device for that.
