I do and I'll explain why. My Father (deceased) was a Traffic Engineer and he designed highways and interchanges as well as parking lots and all sorts of things in that category. He told me something when I was a young teen that made sense. As far as seat belts are concerned, the main thing they do is keep the driver in the drivers seat so he/she can maintain control of the car. Hard to steer or brake if you are on the floor. Saves the passengers too! Make sense?

No. Only when in a car. I take off the seat belt when I leave the car.

True story:

Once, I was a passenger and took off my seat belt to exit but then my father started driving again and crashed, so I was injured when I had put on my seatbelt, because I took off the seat belt too early.

NO, I drive a Ford Freestar minivan configured as a wheelchair carrier with non emergency patients, I tried for a week but Ford's better idea makes the belt uncomfortable, I drive 12 hours each day six days a week so the seat belt is around the seat back behind my back.

Unless the car I am in doesn't have a seat belt - trying to get my son in a good habit.
