It depends on your petition, what petition are you trying to ask? I may be able to help you, but you need to be a little more specific.

Edit:
OK well that's a little easier, Just say your prayer in a group of at least two people, it doesn't matter what prayer, say for instance. Please God have mercy on us, then you would all say together "Lord Hear our prayer"

Or you can say it by your self, Jesus please keep us safe, Lord hear my prayer.

There are litanies that are preset that you can pray as well, just do a search on litanies.

I hope this helps

If I have a burden that is really on my heart, I bring it to Jesus and ask him to take it to God to plead my case. Then I go through the reasons why. It has to be a good one with right heart, mind, motive. Jesus Christ is our intercessor. He bridges the gap to God. He died for us. His blood has power. When I pray on something like this, it takes a long time. Sometimes, daily for months. I have always received an answer. One way or the other. And ones I thought were unfavorable, or was a NO! turned out to be the best and right thing and I was so thankful. Saving me from myself - from disaster. Every single time.

An act of futility in the words of the once famous Jim Morrison
you cannot petition the lord through prayer.

Do you know what you just asked? Pray and petition means the same word. You actually asked..."How do you open a petition of petition?"

How do you pray? Some start, "Dear Lord..." Some start, "Oh heavenly Father..." Some, "Oh, God...make these kids behave before I kill them!!!"

Prayer needs no specific words. It is really quite simple - communication with God.

First you thank God for what He has done and will do.
Then ask that HE help you accept His will.
