consider which people you would prefer to work with. if you hate people that are really easy going and you can't stand for people to be late - don't learn French. if you hate people that that are extremely systematic, don't bother with German.
Pick the culture of the people you like best and learn that language because if you use the language in the business world, those will be the people you get stuck working with day in and day out.

On a side note, you might try learning some Mandarin if it's offered.

French in both cases. Outside of France, you have Canada, Belgium, a part of Switzerland and all the former French and Belgian colonies that speak French. German is mainly spoken in two countries (Germany and Austria) and a part of Switzerland.

If you have never learned Latin, it makes it even harder to fully learn German. French is also hard to learn, but remains easier than German, especially if you speak Spanish or Italian.

Probably French since it is more widely spoken. However, French is harder to pronounce than German and in some parts of France, the people will pretend they don't understand you if you don't get the sounds just right.

German is a beautiful and worthwhile language, but so is French. Depending on where you work, both langauges could be useful, or just one. Consider if you worked in Canada, French would definately be more useful. But, if you work in Europe (still, it depends on where) German could be more useful as 4 countries (and various minorities in others) have German as their mother tongue. But, working in a tricky country such as Switzerland, you could benefit from knowing both languages fluently.

Well, first, i think that in business, english is useful.
but, you need to know about German or french. so, my life teach me that french is the second useful language in business.
french is more konwn and more spoken, if we know that english is the principal. and is more easiest to learn, because, its grammical is more simple.
And thats all for it
