What does it mean? EXPLAIN AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE

When Jesus had driven out a demon, some of the crowd said:
“By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons,
he drives out demons.”
Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven.
But he knew their thoughts and said to them,
“Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste
and house will fall against house.
And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand?
For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons.
If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul,
by whom do your own people drive them out?
Therefore they will be your judges.
But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons,
then the Kingdom of God has come upon you.
When a strong man fully armed guards his palace,
his possessions are safe.
But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him,
he takes away the armor on which he relied
and distributes the spoils.
Whoever is not with me is against me,and whoever

The thought that Jesus might be using the power of the devil to drive out Demons. They asked Jesus to show them that his power was from heaven.

Jesus basically said 'Believe what you want I have nothing to prove to you!'

That's just my take on it!

Blessings!

That a house divided cannot stand and that Satan wouldn't drive out his own minions, So then he asked the rabbi's by what name or authority that they drove out demons.

Also he gave them a parable that's means if you are strong you can defend your house until someone stronger comes and takes everything from you. Jesus did this to the demons because he has the power of god to bind Satan, so he is the stronger man coming to take the house and the goods.

I hope this helped and God Bless, and may JESUS be with you.

As I understand it, Jesus is stronger than the strongman. He is the one taking the armor and distributing the spoils. Who to? The one's who believe in Him. We are given power and authority by his own words.

A Kingdom divided against itself will fall. So Jesus was saying that even IF he had driven out the demons by the power of demons, the demons ability to control is diminished. BUT, he said, IF it is by the finger of God that he drives them out, then they had better recognize it, because it is the kingdom of God that is being worked in front of them. (God does works so that people will see and believe, which would grieve Him if the opposite happened and people spoke ill of His good things. )

Certain Jewish religious leaders who opposed Jesus did commit willful, and thus unforgivable, sin. Though they saw God’s holy spirit at work through Jesus as he did good and performed miracles, those clerics ascribed his power to Beelzebub, or Satan the Devil. They sinned with their eyes wide open to the undeniable operation of God’s spirit. Thus, they committed unforgivable sin, for Jesus said: “Whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in this system of things nor in that to come.”—Matthew 12:22-32.

I prefer the translation of the Amplified Bible. To me, these verses mean that when Jesus drove out a demon in a man who could not speak, the man was healed and spoke. The crowd of people there felt amazement except for some who accused Him of working with and for satan. Jesus told them that if he worked with and for satan it would do satan no good to employ him to drive out satan's demons. It would just destroy satan's kingdom. Jesus said because I drive out demons through God's will and power, the God has already come to show His power through me. It's God's strength that divides the demons up and destroys satan's kingdom. Whoever doesn't believe what I do will run from me when they see God's power in me.
Here are the verses from the Amplied Bible:
Now Jesus was driving out a demon in a man who was dumb[could not speak]; and it occurred when the demon had gone out, the dumb man spoke. And the crowds marveled.
But some of them said, he drives out demons [because he is in league with] beelzebub [satan], the prince of demons, while others, to try to test and tempt him, demanded a sign of Him from Heaven.
But He, [well] aware of their intent and purpose, said to them, Every kingdom split up against itself is doomed and brought to desolation, and so house falls upon house [the disunited household will collapse]. And if satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom last? For you say that I expel demons with the help of and by beelzebub.
Now if I expel demons by the help of and by beelzebub, with whose help do your sons drive them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
But if I drive out the demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has [already] come upon you.
When the strong man, fully armed, [from his courtyard] guards his own dwelling, his belongings are undisturbed [his property is at peace and is secure].
But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armor on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder [spoil].
He who is not with Me [siding and believing with Me] is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me [engage in My interest], scatters.
