Hi, If she tied with the male it is a VERY GOOD chance she is pregnant, if you take her in right away and have her spayed it would be a good thing. Call your vet and you can even ask them if they have a low cost clinic somewhere

Get her spayed. Get him neutered ! So fix both and you won't have to worry. I'm assuming you own the female as well?
Early spay will not be a big deal even if she is pregnant. Don't wait. Contact Animal Control, your local Humane Society and also ask you vet about low cost spay/neuter programs.

I forgot about the Morning After treatment ! Look into that !

No reason to be scared. She can be spayed anytime up to the last few weeks, without a problem. Call the vet and make an appointment.
If she isn't spayed, then you'll have puppies IF it happened. If it didn't happen, then there'll be no puppies.
Estimates for spaying vary around the country. The vets will be able to quote you prices right over the phone, so you can shop around, or you can check online for low cost options.

If your dogs tied most likely she is pregnant, females typically only allow that at the appropriate ovulation time. It runs about 200-300 for spays mostly but humane societies and rescue orginaztions offer low cost spays sometimes 20 or 50 bucks. In charlotte they even have days where they do it for free. Check with your local orginizations to find out but get her spayed right away it will save you from having to deal with labor possibly losing your dog, having to care for the puppies or even losing them, and then trying to place them in homes. Doing so now will save you time and money anyways. Your going to be out a lot of money if your dog is pregnant and you go through with it, she could need a c-section, you may have to bottle raise puppies, ect.

After a sucessful tie, 90% of females will be pregnant. The cost of spaying is going to depend on the vet you use, your location, & the size of your dog. It's still cheaper then raising a litter of puppies. You might be able to get a low cost spay through the humane society, call one in your area.

In most areas, the Humane Society and SPCA have programs that encourage people to have their animals spayed by offering very reasonable spay/neuter fees. So I would call the local shelter and ask about it. My dog is a shelter rescue and they did a great job spaying her.
Try this website: www.spayusa.org/
Good luck to you.

Well if she did actually tie with a male than the chances are pretty high that she did get pregnant. I dont know how much a spay is in your area. That you will have to ask your vet. Or if you have a Humane society near you they have low cost clinics too.
Call your vet first and get a price. Then check around.

You can also do a search for low cost spay/neuter resources in your city/state/zip at http://neuterspay.org/ . Also, you can call your local animal shelter and see if they can point you in the right direction - most will at least be able to give you the name and phone number of a local agency.

Since it happened today, go to the vet in the morning and get a hormone shot. Then the only thing is to make sure she doesn't breed again. It will be like her season starts over so her heat will last about one week longer than normal.
There, wasn't that easy?? To bad more people don't know what to do when accidents happen.

contact local vets to see if they accept low cost spay and neuter vouchers. they can tell you how to contact one of the organizations. most Petsmarts have adoptions on the week ends and some of those organizations will sell you a voucher for a fraction of the cost of a regular spay, sometimes it depends on your income.
