i purchased a compaq laptop that came with the trial version of office 2007. when i enter my product key an error come up saying that it's invalid. one of my friends thinks that someone might have used a keygen and got my key. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

note: computer came with office 2007 you can get on either 20 or 25 times without entering the product key. after that you have to enter it or you can't use the program.
and i've tried numerous times, i'm sure i'm entering the key correctly

If you really are trying to activate a legal MS product, there should be a MS number you can call. They will verify that you did download it and will issue you a new number. I have contacted them several times for this type of thing and they usually answer and help because after all, it's money for them.... give them a ring.

A product Key is a number that comes with a program so that the program knows you didn't copy it off of the internet. With Microsoft Word it lets you use it 20 times before you are absolutely required to enter one. I would contact your computers company for the help. just give them a call and it should be no problem for them to help you. Of course, do this only if you specifically asked for microsoft windows 2007. Otherwise it is just a trial and you need to buy it. But they don't ask for product keys with trials so i am confident they can help you get your key.

I have heard that this was an issue with Microsoft. Go to their website and check under Office 2007.
I think that there was a fix posted for it.
If not, then contact them by calling the number on the packaging of the CD's.

You have no product key for the trial version. Be aware that if you use it, once the trial is over you will not be able to read any of the files created with it.

Make sure you are not interpreting a number as a letter in the key code and vice versa, that is a letter as a number. Like zero and O, or cap I and 1, etc.

if you purchased it at store, how some could use a keygen? you aren't makeing any sense. call microsoft toll free number and explain the situation
