Almost ever religion I've heard of, with the exception of Judaism, has absolutely no sense of humor, especially sarcasm and self-deprecating irony. If I convert to FSM, will I still be able to practice sarcasm?

Thanks.

Even the atheists here can't take a joke or two. I'm an atheist currently.

Sorry to 'lump' everybody, but there are some atheists that are as fanatically frightening, offensive, and ignorant, as the fanatic Christians they are insulting.

And obviously, actually converting to FSM is sarcasm in itself - so I'd still be an atheist.

Oh not at all. There is no sarcasm allowed in the church of the FSM

Of course you can .... sarcasm is one of the essence.

However, I take offended in the part where you say almost every religion you had heard of has absolutely no sense of humor. What can be more humorous then believing a imaginary friend to be your imaginary master?

Yes, although we're very serious about our faith in the Spaghetti Monster. "She" can fly. Even Jesus couldn't do that. All he could do was walk on water. Big deal. FSM (may peace be upon her) flys over water and drops a load on the guy who is walking on it. If you convert, you will be in the company of the greatest minds that are or have ever been alive.

WELL now ! I have found Christianity to be a most hilarious religion ! I don't understand why people think of us as stick-in-the-mud sourpusses. At the last pot luck fellowship, Mildred Hiebert brought a chopped liver sculpture shaped like the Last Supper, and this evening while delivering tracts we stopped the station wagon at every corner and did a Chinese Fire Drill. Don't even get me started on toilet papering the Methodist church !

Pastafarians speak sarcasm as their second language so you should be safe there......

The Pastafarians are not the only ones though... Discordians and followers of the IPU (Invisible Pink Unicorn -- with silver hooves according to her devotees) have their own sarcastic dialects as well.....

hey, nobody can tell a good pagan joke like a pagan! please don't lump us in with the humorlessists.

tho i'm not a pastafarian, it seems to me that if you're good is a plate of spaghetti with meatball eyes, you wouldn't be able to help being sarcastic. if your holiest hymn is 'on top of spaghetti', you have to be twisted. if communion is the all-you-can-eat buffet at the olive garden... well, there you've gotten pathetic.

Sarcasm is a requirement. If you are not sarcastic on a daily basis, you will whipped with limp noodles.

Ramen!

Pastafarian is sarcasm in itself.

Atheists here have no humor!? What?

That's the first time (that I have seen) that we have been accused of NOT being sarcastic.

Jeez, can't win.
